Guides › Egg types, guaranteed potential and mutations
Does a Sparkling Egg always hatch a Sparkling Aniimo?
Whether the plain Sparkling Egg guarantees an Aniimo with the Sparkling mutation is unsettled: it is described both as always hatching a sparkling or shiny Aniimo, though without any guarantee of elite rarity or potential, and as carrying no such guarantee, unlike eggs that do guarantee it, such as the Departure Sparkling Egg and eggs with the Super Dazzling label.
This one is not settled.
Both versions are shown because the disagreement is itself information — usually it means the mechanic changed between beta builds.
Even when the sparkle trait appears, the hatched Aniimo is not guaranteed elite rarity.
The sparkling mutation alters appearance rather than combat ceiling. A hatchling bearing this trait can still roll low base potential, matching the battle performance of standard wild specimens.
Aside from incubation, sparkling Aniimo appear as wild captures in the field. When targeting mutations through eggs, alternatives exist. A Wonder Egg guarantees an Aniimo with at least an alpha mutation or a sparkling mutation.
Stamp Exchange and Egg Variants
You acquire seasonal sparkling eggs through event progression. Spending enough stamps on items in the Stamp Exchange unlocks these eggs from the shop.
Specific branded variants avoid the ambiguity of standard items. The Departure Sparkling Egg and eggs displaying the Super Dazzling label carry assured guarantees for the sparkling mutation on hatch.
Not settled: Standard Sparkling Eggs behave inconsistently across game builds. Departure Sparkling Eggs and eggs bearing the Super Dazzling label reliably produce the mutation, while the basic Sparkling Egg sometimes hatches an Aniimo without the sparkling trait.
