How long does it take to fill prismatic energy?
Filling the prismatic energy bar through catches alone is slow, with Outbreak catching taking an hour or more.
Lucky catches add to the bar, but only a little at a time, so catching is the slow route. If you plan to fill it at an Outbreak, set aside a long session. An hour is a realistic minimum there, not a worst case.
The quicker routes are tied to the zone. Catch every target Aniimo during that zone's Wild Surge and you can release Prismatic Energy by interacting with the zone's flower. Nurturing a bloom with energy and releasing it once it is full also expels prismatic energy, and that raises the area's Prismatic Energy State substantially. Use these when you can and save plain catching for topping up.
A long Outbreak session leaves you with a large haul to hand in. When you appraise it, keep the Perfect grades.
Not settled: "An hour or more" is all that is pinned down for the Outbreak. The time depends on how quickly you get through catches, and nothing fixes an exact figure for a full bar.
