How to fill a region's Prismatic Energy bar faster
Only captures move the bar, and a defeat counts for nothing. Gold completion and Lucky catches are the shortcuts, and the stamp shop sells 10 Vein Essence a week.
The short version
- Capturing Aniimo is what fills a region's Prismatic Energy bar. Defeating them adds nothing, not even surge spawns.
- Each region keeps its own bar. Energy you earn in one region never carries over to another.
- Getting an area to full (gold) completion makes Prismana energy build up faster there, so finish an area before you grind it.
- A Super Lucky catch can take the Prismana Flow from very low to maximum in one go, skipping the grind entirely.
- The stamp shop sells 10 Vein Essence per week, which makes it the fastest place to get it.
Every region has a Prismatic Energy bar, and filling it raises that region's Bloom or Prismana level. The bar has one rule that everything else follows from: it fills when you capture Aniimo. Not when you fight them, and not when you throw pods at them.
Catching alone is slow. An Outbreak catching session can take an hour or more, so the real question is how to make each capture count for more. This guide covers what feeds the bar, why a defeat is wasted effort, the two things that speed it up, and where Vein Essence comes from.
Captures fill the bar, and only in the region you are in
Capturing Aniimo provides Prismatic Energy. That covers ordinary wild catches, the mass-surging Aniimo that appear during Vein Abundance, and Lucky catches. All of it goes into the bar for the region where you made the catch.
That bar is separate for each region, and energy does not transfer between them. If you want one particular region's Prismana, do your catching there. A long session somewhere else does nothing for it.
You also do not need Vein Essence for this. Catching any wild Aniimo inside a Prismana's spawn region raises its Prismatic Energy, so a plain catching run works even when your Vein Essence has run out.
Why a capture beats a defeat every time
Aniimo spawned by nurturing or by wild surges have to be captured. If you defeat them, you get no Vein Essence and no progress toward the zone's Prismana. The fight takes your time and gives the bar nothing. How surges work in general has its own guide on this site; what matters here is that you catch them rather than knock them out.
The same logic decides when a Prismana shows up. Appearances are driven by catching Aniimo repeatedly, and what raises the chance is successful captures, not pods thrown. A pod that misses counts for nothing. There is no other way to lure one, so steady successful catching is the whole method.
Capture
- Fills the current region's Prismatic Energy bar
- Counts toward the zone's Prismana
- Raises the chance a Prismana appears
Defeat
- Adds no Vein Essence
- Adds no progress toward the zone's Prismana
Reach gold completion before you grind
Reaching full (gold) completion in an area makes Prismana energy build up faster there. Because catching alone is slow, with Outbreak catching taking an hour or more, this is worth doing first. Every capture you make after reaching gold fills the bar faster than it would have before.
In practice: if a region's area is close to gold, finish it, then start the long catching session. Doing it the other way round means paying for the slow rate on all the catches you made before completion.
Lucky and Super Lucky catches
A Lucky or Super Lucky catch, also called a Lucky Strike, can happen during capture or during Nurture. Either way it generates extra Prismatic Energy for the region you are in.
It also counts toward bloom nurturing, so an Aniimo can bloom without Vein Essences. That saves Vein Essence for other uses.
The big one is the Super Lucky catch. It can fill the Prismana Flow to maximum from very low, which skips the Prismana grind outright. You cannot plan around one, but every capture is another chance at it, and that is one more reason to keep catching rather than fighting.
Where to buy Vein Essence
Vein Essence attracts Aniimo in Breezy Plains. The stamp shop sells 10 of it per week, which makes the shop the fastest source.
It is a weekly allowance, so buy it every week rather than letting a week go by. Since the bar itself only responds to captures, the Aniimo it attracts still need catching, not defeating, to count.

Where to start
Choose the region you want and stay there. Get its area to gold completion first, then catch everything and fight nothing, including surge spawns. Buy the stamp shop's 10 Vein Essence every week, and treat any Super Lucky catch as a free skip of the grind.
