Guides › How to Catch Legendary Aniimo
Is Iris a legendary Aniimo?
Iris is a legendary Aniimo introduced through the Windchasers Departure Legendary Journey event.
Iris is the short name for Irisalis, and you can only get it for a limited time, during Season 1. The game spells it several ways, including Iris Alice and Erissalis, but they all mean the same creature.
You'll find the event in the Legendary Journey section of the event menu. Irisalis was the first legendary added to the game, and its crafted Anipod encounter is the template every later legendary encounter follows. Catching it once teaches you the routine for all of them.
In battle, its Bloom Cluster gives Irisalis 1 Dance Power whenever one of its clones lands a hit. At 9 Dance Power, its next skill costs 50% less EP.
How to get Irisalis in Windchasers Departure
The event runs on Irisalis Petals, also called Iris Petals. You earn them from Memory: The Faded Rainbow, which you start by picking the faded rainbow on the Weekly Rotation tab. It costs energy and can be cleared twice per reset. Each clear gives 3 petals, so 6 per reset at most, and anything you leave unclaimed is gone once the reset passes. The reset period itself is not settled. It is listed both as weekly, on Monday at 4:00 a.m., and as every 3 days.
Petal milestones unlock rewards, and one of them is the Irisalis encounter. Crafting the Irisalis Anipod starts the search, picks up its trails and opens the rift where you fight it. The fight is not hard, easier than the weekly investigation boss, and you can only do the story encounter once. Beat it, throw the pod you crafted, and the catch always works.
Spare petals can go into a second legendary Anipod, Wind Chaser's Departure. Anything caught with it always comes out sparkling with perfect innate potential, so it is worth saving petals for.
Not settled: It is not settled which legendary counts as the first. Irisalis was the first legendary introduced to the game, but Resalis is the first one players actually obtain.
