Runs 25 September to 10 December. Craft the Legendary Anipod before you spend a single Irisalis Petal, or the best shop stock stays locked.

The short version

  1. Walking with Irisalis runs for 75 days, from September 25th until December 10th, and comes after the Butterfly Shadow event.
  2. The Legendary Journey unlocks at the Student 1 rank, and its chapters open over time on a weekly rotation rather than all at once.
  3. Irisalis Petals are the event currency: they craft the legendary Anipods and buy items from the event shop.
  4. Some shop items, including Glimmering Driftshadow at two Petals each, need the Legendary Anipod crafted first, so do not spend Petals in the shop before that.
  5. The beta version was a Glimmer gacha with pity estimated at 4,500 to 6,000 Glimmer; the live event runs on Petals and crafting instead.

Walking with Irisalis is the Legendary Journey that follows the Butterfly Shadow event. If you are looking for the legendary Irisalis content in Aniimo, this is it: a long event built around one currency, Irisalis Petals, and a crafting order you need to respect.

The short version is that Petals do two jobs. They craft the event's legendary Anipods, and they buy things in the event shop. The shop is the tempting one, and spending there too early is the mistake to avoid.

When the Irisalis event runs and how it unlocks

The Irisalis event runs for 75 days, starting September 25th and lasting until December 10th. It sits after the Butterfly Shadow event in the Legendary Journey sequence.

You need to reach the Student 1 rank before the Legendary Journey opens for you. Once it begins, the chapters do not all arrive on day one. They unlock over time on a weekly rotation, so the event is paced in steps and you will be coming back to it across its run.

There is also more to the event than its chapters. Forging Twine in Irisalis's rift space unlocks the blessing gifts section, so that is worth doing when you reach it.

Irisalis event length

The event runs from September 25th until December 10th, and chapters unlock weekly, so there is time to pace your Petal spending.

Irisalis Petals and the legendary Anipods

Iris Petals, also called Irisalis Petals, are the currency that drives the whole event. Their most important use is crafting.

The order goes like this. You craft the Irisalis Anipod first. After that, Petals can be spent to craft the legendary Windchaser's Departure Anipod, which costs 49 Iris Petals. That is a real chunk of currency, and it is the main reason to be careful with your Petals early on.

49

Iris Petals for the Windchaser's Departure Anipod

Crafting this legendary Anipod costs 49 Iris Petals, so spending Petals in the shop first can leave you short.

What the petal shop sells, and when to buy

The Legendary Journey event shop takes Irisalis Petals. One of its items is Glimmering Driftshadow, priced at two Irisalis Petals each.

The catch is that some shop items, Glimmering Driftshadow among them, cannot be bought until you have crafted the Legendary Anipod. Spending Petals in the shop beforehand only delays the craft and does not get you those items any sooner. Hold your Petals, craft first, then shop.

How it differs from the beta gacha event

The Irisalis event existed in the third beta, and it worked very differently. There it awarded a legendary Aniimo through a gacha system with limited resources and pity guarantees.

Entering the beta event cost Glimmer, and legendary pity was estimated at 4,500 to 6,000 Glimmer. The live Walking with Irisalis event is built around Petals, crafting and weekly chapters instead, so if you remember the beta version, expect a paced journey rather than a pull counter.

Beta Irisalis event versus Walking with Irisalis

Third beta event

  • Entry required Glimmer
  • Legendary came from a gacha system
  • Pity estimated at 4,500 to 6,000 Glimmer
  • Limited resources with pity guarantees

Walking with Irisalis

  • Unlocks at the Student 1 rank
  • Chapters unlock on a weekly rotation
  • Irisalis Petals spent in an event shop
  • Petals craft legendary Anipods

Where to start

Reach Student 1, start the Journey, and check back each week as new chapters open. Craft the Irisalis Anipod and then the Windchaser's Departure Anipod (49 Petals) before you touch the shop. Once the Legendary Anipod is done, Glimmering Driftshadow and the other locked items cost two Petals each. You have until December 10th.
