Irisalis requirements: level 20, Season 1 and version 1.1
Irisalis opens at player level 20 and rank Student 1, but only for Season 1. Here is where to find it, what 1.1 fixed, and how the hidden Prismana Iris egg works.

The short version
- Irisalis needs player level 20 and rank Student 1, so it is reachable in the early game.
- Walking with Irisalis is a Legendary Journey event that only opens after you finish the Trail of the Butterfly Shadows event.
- Irisalis is available for a limited time during Season 1 only, so you cannot leave it for later.
- Version 1.1 gives Irisalis fixed innate potential that is the same for every player, replacing the random roll, and it adds a new legendary, Iris Solis.
- The hidden Prismana Iris egg comes from the end of the post-campaign Fragrant Journey questline, and you also need side quests outside that questline done.
Irisalis is the Season 1 legendary, and the requirements are lower than most players expect. You need player level 20 and rank Student 1. That puts it squarely in the early game, well before you finish the campaign.
The real constraint is time. Irisalis is only obtainable during Season 1, and the event that hands it out sits behind a short chain of other events. This page covers where to find it, how long you have, what version 1.1 changed about the Irisalis you get, and the separate, hidden questline that leads to the Prismana Iris egg.
How to get Irisalis: level 20, Student 1 and the event chain
The Irisalis content asks for two things: player level 20 and rank Student 1. Meet both and the content is open to you.
The event itself is called Walking with Irisalis, and it is a Legendary Journey event. It does not appear on its own. It unlocks after you complete the Trail of the Butterfly Shadows event, so if you meet the level and rank and still cannot see it, that earlier event is the likely gap.
To find it, open the Events menu and pick the gamepad icon tab at the bottom left. Legendary Journey is the second option in that menu, and the Irisalis Legendary Journey is listed directly above the Prismana event. Completing that event is how you obtain Irisalis.
The capture follows the launch legendary system: Legendary Tokens from exploration and story progress, a crafted Legendary Aniipod, and a single scripted encounter where defeating the legendary and using that Aniipod catches it with 100% certainty. There is no luck involved, unlike the repeatable capture in the beta. The full walkthrough of that system lives in the How to Catch Legendary Aniimo guide.

How long Irisalis stays available
Irisalis is a limited time Aniimo. It is obtainable during Season 1, and only then.
That fits the wider pattern. Each season brings its own seasonal Aniimo, either a Prismana or a legendary, unlocked with petals. Irisalis is the Season 1 slot. Once the season moves on, so does the window, which is why the low level requirement matters: there is no reason to wait, and every reason not to. Event dates, the shop and the chapter breakdown are covered in the Walking with Irisalis event guide.
What version 1.1 changed for Irisalis
Before version 1.1, legendary Aniimo such as Irisalis could be obtained only once, and their potential was rolled at random. Since you only got one, a poor roll was the one you kept.
Version 1.1 replaces Irisalis's random innate potential with fixed values that are the same for every player. Nobody gets a better or worse Irisalis than anyone else on potential alone.
The same update also introduces a new legendary Aniimo, Iris Solis. The rest of the patch is in the Version 1.1 Patch Changes article.
Before version 1.1
- Obtainable only once
- Innate potential rolled at random
Version 1.1
- Innate potential uses fixed values
- The same values for every player
Irisalis, Iris and the first legendary question
The names overlap, so it helps to keep them apart. Irisalis is the Season 1 legendary from Walking with Irisalis. Iris is a separate legendary Aniimo, introduced through the Windchasers Departure Legendary Journey event. Iris Solis is the one added in version 1.1.
Which legendary counts as the first is not settled. Resalis is the first legendary players obtain. Irisalis is the first legendary introduced to the game. Both claims get made, and they describe different things, so which one you mean depends on whether you are counting from your own save or from the game's roster.
How to get Prismana Iris: the hidden quest
Prismana Iris is not caught in the open world. Some creatures, including certain high rarity Aniimo, come from quests (side quests especially) or puzzles rather than normal capture, and this is one of them.
The route runs through A Fragrant Journey, a post-campaign side questline. It ends with you turning in fragrances after unlocking Tide Blossom Coast, and the reward is a hidden Prismana Iris egg. So you need the campaign behind you and Tide Blossom Coast open before the final turn in is possible.
The catch is that the Fragrant Journey alone is not enough. The hidden Prismana Iris questline also requires side quests outside A Fragrant Journey to be completed. If the questline stalls, clear the other side quests you have open.
The White Iris, also called the Iris Prismana variant, is awarded by completing specific journey essences or by collecting legendary perfumes. Either path gets you there, which gives you a second angle if one of them is slow going.
Where to start
Get to level 20 and rank Student 1, finish Trail of the Butterfly Shadows, then take Walking with Irisalis from the Legendary Journey tab while Season 1 is still running. Prismana Iris can wait until after the campaign, but clear your other side quests along the way so the hidden questline does not stall at the end.
