Guides › How Aniipod catch rates and throw mechanics work
Should you use Ultra Pods on guaranteed eggs?
Using an Ultra Pod or Ultra Cube on Alpha Aniimo, Umbral eggs, or eggs that already guarantee Elite rarity or Perfect potential provides no additional benefit.
An Ultra Anipod merely duplicates an Elite potential guarantee, wasting the item.
Eggs with guaranteed Perfect potential gain no extra stat value from high-tier binding items. Hatched Umbral Aniimo arrive with perfect stats on their own, so an Ultra Cube cannot improve them further.
Sparkling Cubes follow the same rule. Spending one on an egg that already guarantees a sparkling hatch or perfect potential wastes the guaranteed effects. Save Sparkling Cubes for Prismana eggs and established meta picks instead of burning them on early creatures.
Where to spend premium pods and cubes
Hold standard Aniipods for rare spawns, weather-dependent creatures, and quest targets rather than spending them freely on common encounters. Throwing Anipod Ultras to capture Alpha Aniimo is similarly inefficient. Target the catches that actually require the capture power.
Preserving Umbral hatches
An Umbral hatch arrives complete, but evolution breaks the form. Evolving an Umbral Aniimo permanently removes its unique dark visual appearance, state, and special perks. The game triggers a confirmation warning before allowing the evolution to proceed.
