Guides › How to Upgrade Elite Aniimo to Perfect Rarity
Does an Ultra Anipod improve an Elite egg?
Using an Ultra Anipod on an egg that already guarantees Elite potential merely duplicates that guarantee, giving no additional potential benefit and wasting the item.
Minimum potential guarantees do not stack when applied to eggs.
The item only sets a baseline floor. Because the egg already promises Elite potential, the device matches the existing threshold and provides no upward push toward Perfect potential.
Save high-grade pods for targets where you actually need to force a catch or raise a baseline. Aniipods should be kept in reserve for rare spawns, weather-dependent creatures, and quest targets rather than spent on guaranteed catches or common encounters.
Other Items with Redundant Guarantees
This rule applies across several other high-tier items and creature states. Ultra Pods and Ultra Cubes yield no added benefit when used on Alpha Aniimo, Umbral eggs, or any egg already carrying an Elite rarity or Perfect potential guarantee.
Sparkling Cubes carry the exact same restriction. Using a Sparkling Cube on an egg that already guarantees a sparkling result or Perfect potential wastes its guaranteed effects. Save those cubes for confirmed meta picks or Prismana eggs instead.
