What affects Aniimo spawns?

Aniimo spawns and the forms they appear in are influenced by factors including location, weather, other environmental conditions, and the in-game time of day and day-night cycle.

An in-game day-to-night changer lets you alter which creatures appear in a region. Beyond the normal clock, special phenomena and local weather determine which species and forms show up in the wild.

Quest completion also shifts wild spawns and geography-based appearances across habitats. Different environments produce distinct looks within the same family, such as rainstorm, cloud mist, and plateau forms, spanning 19 distinct forms across species. Certain creatures appear exclusively during severe weather, with thunderstorms triggering special variant Aniimo.

Variant forms and move transfers

Regional and environmental forms are not inherently stronger or rarer, but weather-dependent variants can carry altered elements, elemental enhancements, and skill upgrades. Certain spawns are strictly locked to conditions, such as the storm variant of the Lumen-stage Coraliz during rainstorms.

Capturing these conditional spawns provides permanent benefits for your roster. An Aniimo can only switch into an alternate or weather form if that specific variant has already been caught in the wild. Moves unlocked from weather variants or alternate forms can also be equipped onto standard forms within the same Aniimo family. Achieving 100% completion in any area requires capturing that zone's Prismana and special weather forms.
