What does a Sparkling Cube do?

Sparkling Cubes can be used when hatching eggs to apply sparkling hues, making shinies easier to obtain.

The cube changes how an Aniimo looks and nothing else. Sparkling status adds no stats over the standard form.

What you get is a glowing, shimmering version with a coloured outline, drawn from several alternate palettes that include rainbow designs with diamond, pearlescent and particle effects. On eggs, the cube goes on during incubation, and only certain eggs accept it.

The cube also works as a premium Anipod in the open world, with a guaranteed 100% catch rate, so a spawned Prismana hit with one is always captured. A wild catch made this way comes out in a common sparkling style 99% of the time and a Dazzling style 1% of the time. It never gives Shadow. You cannot pick the colour. If you dislike the one you got, Sparkling Pigment rerolls it at random on an Aniimo that is already Sparkling, with a chance at Dazzling.

Does a Sparkling Cube make an Aniimo perfect or elite?

This is not settled. In some builds, any Aniimo caught with a cube, Alphas and Prismana included, gets perfect potential, and a cube used on an egg overrides a guaranteed elite potential and raises it to perfect. In others the result can still roll imperfect stats: possibly only elite, only a minimum starting stat value of 8, or no elite guarantee at all. Either way, the cube does not lower quality.

If you want a sparkling Prismana that keeps its traits, there is another route. A Prismana Orb used on an Aniimo that is already sparkling turns it into a sparkling Prismana and keeps Alpha status and perfect potential.

Getting cubes and where to spend them

Cubes are scarce and harder to get than standard Anipods. You can buy them with real money, or convert Sparkling Crystals for them at the Outpost Vendor. The crystal price is not settled: one cube is listed at 1,000, 100 and 5.

Because they are scarce, save them for Aniimo you will actually put on your active team: confirmed meta picks, Alphas with strong core skills, Prismana eggs, Prismana Aniimo where the colour change shows most, or a Vein Abundance Aniimo you want. Do not spend them on every Prismana, on your first Alphas, or on early monsters nobody has rated yet.

You can get sparkling Aniimo without a cube, but it is slow. An egg carrying the sparkling mutation always hatches sparkling, and prismatic eggs have a 0.5% chance of a sparkling or Shadow mutation. Ten Sparkling Stamps also convert an Aniimo into its sparkling form.

Not settled: Two things about the cube are still unsettled: whether every use guarantees a sparkling result, and whether it guarantees perfect potential. Some builds treat it as a sure thing. Others give only a chance at sparkling and can still roll imperfect stats.
