Guides › How to Catch Legendary Aniimo

What happens after crafting the Irisalis Aniipod?

Crafting the legendary Aniipod starts the search for Irisalis, detecting its trails and opening the rift space where it is fought.

The encounter it opens can be completed only once, and the pod you just made is what ends it.

Once the pod is crafted, a prompt tells you Irisalis trails have been detected and a quest to fight Irisalis begins. Follow it into the rift space where Irisalis waits. The fight is not hard; it is easier than the weekly investigation boss. Defeat Irisalis, then throw the pod during the soothe interaction. The catch always succeeds, so nothing about this step comes down to luck.

Irisalis is only available for a limited time, during Season 1, through the Windchasers Departure event in the Legendary Journey section of the event menu. If you have the petals, do not leave the quest sitting until the season ends.

What to do with Iris Petals after Irisalis

You can keep spending Iris Petals once Irisalis is crafted. More petals craft a second legendary pod, Wind Chaser's Departure. Anything caught with it is guaranteed to be sparkling and to have perfect innate potential, which makes it the pod to save for the creature you most care about.

Memory: The Faded Rainbow, on the Weekly Rotation tab, is where more petals come from. It costs energy, can be cleared only twice per reset, and each clear awards 3 petals, for up to 6. Rewards you leave unclaimed are lost when the reset passes, so clear both runs every cycle.

Not settled: The reset period of Memory: The Faded Rainbow is not settled. It is given both as weekly on Monday at 4:00 a.m. and as every 3 days, and the difference decides how fast you can save petals for a Wind Chaser's Departure pod.
