Guides › How Capability Awakening works in Aniimo
What progression systems are used to make Aniimo stronger?
Aniimo are made stronger through several progression systems: standard leveling, traits, potential (Capability Points), resonance progression, carried equipment, and runes.
A high level will not save an Aniimo that has weak potential or missing gear.
Standard leveling raises base attributes, but the size of each level-up increase is dictated by potential. Potential ratings span Common, Good, Elite, and Perfect tiers, determining an Aniimo's stat growth ceiling. Because stats scale with attribute rank, a higher-grade Aniimo naturally ends up with superior combat attributes than a lower-grade specimen at the same level.
Innate Growth and Training
Potential itself splits into innate potential rolled when you catch the creature and acquired potential that can be improved over time. Players can also train an Aniimo directly to increase its stats. Even two specimens of the same species with identical Perfect grades can still differ in their raw stat distributions, personality types, and traits.
Resonance, Runes, and Equipment
Beyond an Aniimo's internal stats, external progression systems shape its combat strength. Resonance progression unlocks deeper power, while carried equipment items and runes allow you to customize specific builds. Perfecting an Aniimo means balancing its intrinsic potential and traits with these external upgrades.
