Aniimo Form Element Changes: Prismana and Regional Types

Prismana forms bolt a second element onto an Aniimo and can unlock a skill with it. Which ones gain a type, which gains nothing, and what Turbo buffs.

The short version

  1. A Prismana variant can gain a second element on top of its base element, turning a single-type Aniimo into a dual-type one.
  2. Exclusive Prismana skills are unlocked by owning the form, not by levelling the base creature.
  3. Prismana Pawney has no exclusive typing and no exclusive skill, so not every line gets something from the variant.
  4. Prismana Turbo carries an exclusive Dark-type support skill, Nebula Burst, which deals AoE damage and raises allies' Dark damage.
  5. Regional Forms are tied to region and weather, and they can change or add typing, but not every line's forms do so.

Aniimo elements are not fixed to a creature. Certain alternate forms change an Aniimo's elemental typing, and the two systems that do it are Prismana variants and Regional Forms. The first is a rare version of a creature you already know. The second is tied to region and weather.

Prismana is the one people ask about most, and it is the more dramatic of the two. A Prismana variant can gain a second element on top of its base element, which makes it dual-element, and it can come with an exclusive skill that base forms do not have. Those skills are unlocked by owning the form, so this is a collection problem as much as a build problem.

The catch is that Prismana does not do this for everyone. Some forms are cosmetic as far as your team sheet is concerned, and one of the known examples below is exactly that.

What a Prismana form actually changes

Prismana variants are rare alternate forms. The headline effect is elemental: a Prismana form can give an Aniimo a different element from its basic form, usually by adding a second element rather than replacing the first. A creature that was one type becomes two.

Alongside the typing, Prismana variants can feature exclusive skills compared to base forms, and those skills are unlocked by owning the form. That is the part worth internalising. You are not levelling into these. You either have the variant or you do not.

Dual typing matters because of how damage lands. Elemental interactions in Aniimo can multiply hard, and a dual type is a bigger target: Wind attacks deal 2.56 times damage against Dark and Grass dual-type Aniimo. Gaining a second element gives your creature more to work with offensively and more to be exploited defensively. That trade is covered in depth by the rotation guide on this site; what matters here is that a Prismana form changes which side of it you are on.

None of that is guaranteed. Prismana Pawney does not possess an exclusive typing or an exclusive skill. If you were chasing that one for a build advantage, there is not one.

Which Prismana forms add which element

Stellarys
Stellarys

Thornblade is the clearest example. In its Basic form, Thornblade (No. 034) is a Grass-element Aniimo. Prismana Thornblade is a dual Grass and Water type, because the Prismana form adds the Water element. Same creature, one more type, and Thornblade reads as a Grass and Water DPS once you have it.

Grisbow works the same way from a different starting point. Standard Grisbow is purely Earth element. Prismana Grisbow has Dark and Earth dual typing, which is why the line is described as possessing both Earth (Rock) and Darkness (Dark) affinities.

Cornet is a Wind DPS Aniimo, and its Prismana form adds the Lightning element. Turbo, in its standard form, is a Wind-element Aniimo, and Prismana Turbo has Dark and Wind dual typing, so Turbo reads as a support Aniimo with Wind and Dark elements.

Stellarys is the one to be careful with. Stellarys (Aniilog No.006) acts as an Ice and Dark DPS, with its Prismana variant adding Ice to its base Dark element. But the typing on Prismana Stellarys is not settled. It is given both as a Dark and Ice type and as a Dark element DPS with no second element at all. Build around the Dark half and you are safe either way. The spawn and evolution side of Stellarys has its own guide on this site.

Base form typing against Prismana form typing

Base form

  • Thornblade in its Basic form is a Grass element Aniimo.
  • Standard Grisbow is purely Earth element.
  • Turbo in its standard form is a Wind element Aniimo.
  • Cornet is a Wind DPS Aniimo.

Prismana form

  • Prismana Thornblade has Grass and Water dual typing.
  • Prismana Grisbow has Dark and Earth dual typing.
  • Prismana Turbo has Dark and Wind dual typing.
  • Cornet's Prismana form adds the Lightning element.

Prismana Turbo and the Dark damage buff

Turbo
Turbo

Turbo is the Prismana form with the most obvious team use, because its exclusive skill is a Dark-type support skill that buffs Dark damage for the whole team. If you are running a Dark carry, that is a direct multiplier on your main damage source. Celestice, a ranged magic DPS Dark-type Aniimo, is the sort of partner this is built for.

The skill is Nebula Burst. It deals AoE damage and increases allies' Dark damage at the same time, so it is not a pure buff button you spend a turn on.

Its strength is not settled. Nebula Burst is given as 6% for 15 seconds and also as 15% for 20 seconds, with that larger figure rising to 30% and extending to all nearby allies while Turbo is in the [Shrouded in Mist] state. Treat the exact number as open and the shape as reliable: it buffs Dark damage, it lasts several seconds, and the [Shrouded in Mist] state is what makes it bigger and wider. Plan your Dark burst to land inside that window.

Turbo is a support Aniimo with Wind and Dark elements. Its Prismana form carries an exclusive Dark type support skill that buffs Dark damage for the team, and Nebula Burst deals AoE damage while increasing allies' Dark damage.

Regional forms and weather

Prismana is not the only thing that moves an element. Regional Forms are alternate Aniimo variants tied to region and weather, and they can change or add an Aniimo's element typing too.

They are less consistent than Prismana. Not every line's forms change typing, so finding a regional variant does not automatically mean a new element on your sheet. Check the form before you rebuild a team around it.

Where the weather-dependent variants do deliver, they deliver on three fronts: altered elements, elemental enhancements, and skill upgrades. That last one puts them in the same category as Prismana. The form is not a skin. It is a different version of the creature, and owning it is what gives you access to what it does.

Where to start

Check whether the Prismana form of a creature you are chasing actually changes anything before you spend time on it. Thornblade, Cornet, Turbo and Grisbow all gain a second element. Pawney gains nothing. Stellarys is unsettled, so build around its Dark element and you are covered either way.
