Grizbo: Skills, Enraged State, and Earth Combat
At 100 rage Grizbo goes Enraged: 30% more skill damage, faster attacks and 25% faster EP recovery. Here is the fastest way to get there, and where Prismana Grizbo spawns.

The short version
- Grizbo enters its Enraged state at 100 rage. While Enraged it has increased attack speed, 30% more skill damage and a 25% faster EP recovery rate.
- Rock Smash, Grizbo's ultimate, immediately generates 100 rage, so it is the instant way into the Enraged state.
- Fanatic Clawing (base form) and Claw of Madness (Prismana form) both cost 10 EP, have 40 power, and use the same Rage and claw-mark mechanics. Fanatic Clawing can stack up to 12 Claw Marks on one target.
- Standard Grizbo is pure Earth. Prismana Grizbo adds Dark, making it a dual Earth and Dark type, and it spawns in Rose Tower Woods after you activate the local Bloom.
- Grizbo lives in Bear Cave North in Rose Tower Woods, and the Alpha is underground inside Bear Cave.
Grizbo is a pure damage Aniimo. It has no support kit and no defensive trick. Everything it does is built around one loop: build up Rage, go Enraged, then deal heavy damage while the state lasts.
That makes it simple to understand and easy to play badly. A Grizbo that never reaches its Enraged state is just a bear with claws. This guide covers how the rage meter fills, what the Enraged state actually gives you, how the claw skills fit in, what changes with Prismana Grizbo, and where to catch one.
How Grizbo's rage and Enraged state work
Grizbo has a rage meter, and the number that matters is 100. Once it has accumulated 100 rage, it enters its Enraged rampaging state.
Rage comes from three places: attacking, taking damage, and spending EP on skills. Taking a big hit builds rage quickly, so a Grizbo that is getting hurt is also a Grizbo getting closer to its strongest form. Everything you do in a fight feeds the meter in some way.
The Enraged state boosts three things at once. Attack speed goes up. Skill damage goes up by 30%. EP recovery rate goes up by 25%. Accumulating rage to reach this state significantly increases Grizbo's damage output, which is the whole reason to play it.
The EP boost is the part that is easy to overlook. Faster EP recovery means more skills cast, and spending EP on skills builds rage in turn. The Enraged state keeps your damage loop running rather than just making one hit bigger.

Rock Smash: the shortcut to Enraged
You do not have to grind the meter up by hand. Grizbo's ultimate, Rock Smash, immediately generates 100 rage, which is exactly what it takes to trigger the Enraged state.
That changes how you should think about the ultimate. It is not only a big attack to save for a finishing blow. It is the switch that turns on your damage window. Use it when you want the Enraged bonuses now, then spend the boosted window on your claw skills while skill damage is up by 30%.

Fanatic Clawing, Claw of Madness and Claw Marks
Grizbo's skills are built around accumulating Rage and then dealing heavy damage, and its claw skill is the centre of that. Which one you get depends on the form.
Base Grizbo has Fanatic Clawing. Prismana Grizbo has Claw of Madness, a skill exclusive to the Prismana form. The two are close relatives. Each costs 10 EP and has 40 power, and both use the same Rage and claw-mark mechanics. Claw of Madness already had those values in the closed beta.
Fanatic Clawing can apply up to 12 stacks of Claw Mark to a single target. That rewards staying on one enemy rather than spreading your attacks around. Because spending EP on skills also builds rage, casting the claw skill feeds both systems at the same time: marks on the target and rage on Grizbo.
Prismana Grizbo: Earth and Dark
Standard Grizbo is purely Earth element. Prismana Grizbo keeps Earth and adds Dark, so it is a dual Earth and Dark type. That second element is the main difference between the forms, alongside the swap from Fanatic Clawing to Claw of Madness.
Grizbo has an attack stat of 126, one of the higher values among Prismana options. If you are weighing it against other free picks, the Prismana Pact article on this site covers that choice in full.
To find Prismana Grizbo in the wild, go to Rose Tower Woods. It spawns there after you activate the local Bloom.
Standard Grizbo
- Purely Earth element
- Claw skill is Fanatic Clawing, 10 EP and 40 power
- Found in Bear Cave North, Rose Tower Woods
Prismana Grizbo
- Dual Earth and Dark type
- Exclusive skill Claw of Madness, 10 EP and 40 power
- Spawns in Rose Tower Woods after activating the local Bloom
Where to find Grizbo and the Alpha in Bear Cave
Grizbo is found in Rose Tower Woods, in Bear Cave North. The same area matters for the Prismana form, since that spawns in Rose Tower Woods once the local Bloom is active.
Alpha Grizbo is in the same cave system but deeper. It is located underground inside Bear Cave, so if you only check the entrance area you will miss it.
Perfect quality and home abilities
Not every Elite Aniimo can be upgraded to Perfect quality, but Grizbo is one that can. The upgrade uses a Capability Fruit, which grants plus one Initial Potential in the recommended stat. You can tell an eligible Aniimo at a glance: its icon shows an animated, sparkling potential aura.
Outside combat, Grizbo has level 3 Hauling (Carry) as a home ability, along with level 3 Earth. A damage dealer that also hauls at level 3 earns its place at home between fights.
Where to start
Play Grizbo around the 100 rage threshold. Open with Rock Smash when you want the Enraged bonuses straight away, keep your claw skill on a single target to build Claw Marks, and let the faster EP recovery keep the loop going. If you want the Dark element and Claw of Madness, activate the Bloom in Rose Tower Woods and look for Prismana Grizbo there. Check underground in Bear Cave for the Alpha.
