Do Prismana Aniimo have better stats?
No. A Prismana Aniimo isn't inherently better than its base form in stats, moves or abilities, and it keeps its species' combat role. Here is what that means when you pick one.
The short version
- Prismana variants do not inherently have superior stats, moves or abilities compared with the base form.
- A Prismana keeps its species' combat role: Grizbo's Prismana form is still a DPS.

Aniimo Prismana variants stand out, so it is easy to assume they are stronger. They are not. A Prismana variant does not inherently have better stats, moves or abilities than the base form of the same species.

Prismana stats match the base form
If you want perfect stats, a Prismana won't get you there by being a Prismana. The variant brings no built-in advantage in stats, moves or abilities. A Prismana and a base form of the same species start on equal footing.
Scorchhowl shows this clearly. Prismana Scorchhowl has no exclusive typing and no exclusive skill. Whatever you would build on a regular Scorchhowl works the same way on the Prismana. The Scorchhowl Combat Guide covers that species' skills and builds in full.
Combat roles and typing stay with the species
A species' job on the team does not change with its form. Grizbo's Prismana form keeps the species' DPS role. If you have a Grizbo slot on your team for damage, the Prismana fills it the same way.
Typing works the same way. Prismana Scorchhowl has no typing of its own. Witchin has just one type combination across all of its forms, so whichever form you have, its strengths and weaknesses stay the same. You don't need a new plan for matchups when you switch forms.
Choosing between a Prismana and a base form
Prismana forms exist across the roster. Scorch Hollow is one species with a Prismana form. Before you spend time chasing one, though, be clear about what it gets you: the same role, the same typing and no built-in stat edge.
So the decision comes down to which one you want on your team. If you already have a strong base form, a Prismana of that species is not an upgrade in a fight. If you prefer the Prismana, you lose nothing by using it. Grizbo is still a DPS and Scorchhowl still uses the same skills.
Where to start
Build your team around species and roles, not around whether an Aniimo is a Prismana. Use a Prismana if you like it. Don't replace a good base form expecting extra power, because the variant gives you none.
