How to Crown Stats in Aniimo
A crown is the game confirming a stat has nothing left to give. Here is what it takes to earn one, and which stats are worth the effort.
The short version
- A crown icon marks an Aniimo stat that has reached maximum potential. Players call it crowning, or double crowning.
- A Perfect rating on its own does not mean every stat is maxed. The crown on the Perfect icon is the part that tells you.
- Each of the six attributes is built from innate potential and acquired potential, and each stat has its own upgrade limit.
- Innate potential tops out at 10, but 9 is the highest value that rolls naturally.
- The Resident Star Up tab pushes past the standard 20 potential cap, up to 24 on favorable stats.
Aniimo stats come down to one system: creature potential, which sets the quality of an Aniimo and the ceiling on how far its stats can grow. Everything else you do to a creature runs into that ceiling eventually.
The crown is how the game tells you a ceiling has been reached. A crown icon on a stat means that stat is at maximum potential. Maxing an attribute completely is what players mean by crowning, or double crowning.
The reason this needs explaining at all is that the rating and the crown are two different things. A Perfect rating does not guarantee that every individual stat is maxed out. Plenty of Perfect Aniimo have stats still sitting under their limit. Look for the crown on the Perfect icon, not the word Perfect.
Attribute Rank is the grade underneath everything
Every Aniimo carries an Attribute Rank: Common, Good, Elite, Perfect. It is an appraised quality grade, tied to the Potential of each stat. The practical effect is simple. Take two Aniimo at the same level with the same personality, and the higher-ranked one has higher stats. Rank is not flavour text.
Rank is not permanent either. An Elite Aniimo can be elevated to Perfect using a Capability Fruit, which grants plus one Initial Potential in its recommended stat. The catch is eligibility: only Elite Aniimo that display a sparkling potential aura can be upgraded to Perfect. An Elite without the aura stays Elite, no matter how much fruit you have. Fruits can also be applied to lower rarity tiers to upgrade them, so the ladder works from further down.
Check the aura before you invest anything in an Elite. It decides whether that creature has a route to a crown at all.
- CommonThe lowest appraised quality grade. At the same level and personality it carries lower stats than any rank above it.
- GoodStill below the top grades. Stats scale with Attribute Rank, so a Good Aniimo trails an Elite or Perfect one at equal level and personality.
- EliteOnly an Elite that displays a sparkling potential aura can be upgraded to Perfect, so not every Elite is eligible.
- PerfectThe top grade, but a Perfect rating alone does not mean every stat is maxed. A crown on the Perfect icon is what marks a maxed stat.
The two numbers behind every stat
Each of an Aniimo's six attributes is determined by both innate potential and acquired potential. You need both to crown anything.
Innate potential is the fixed starting point an Aniimo has on capture or birth. It behaves like individual values in other creature games, and raising it needs special items such as fruits. Here is the detail that catches people out: 10 is the highest innate potential an Aniimo can have, but 9 is the highest value that can be rolled naturally. So even a creature that rolled as well as the game allows is not sitting at the innate ceiling when you catch it. Items cover the rest.
Acquired potential, sometimes called growth value, is the half you feed. Consuming items such as Astranots raises it, up to a maximum of 10 per stat. On top of both, each stat can be raised only until it reaches that stat's own upgrade limit. Not every stat on every creature has the same room. The item economy behind fruits and Astranots has its own guide on this site; what matters here is that a crown needs both halves pushed to their limit, not one of them.
Innate potential
- Fixed starting points the Aniimo has on capture or birth, functioning like individual values.
- 10 is the highest innate potential value possible.
- 9 is the highest value that can be rolled naturally.
- Raised with special items such as Capability Fruits, which grant plus one to each of the two recommended innate potentials.
Acquired potential
- The growth value raised after you have the Aniimo.
- Raised by consuming items such as Astranots.
- Caps at 10 per stat.
- Each stat can only be raised until it reaches that stat's own upgrade limit.
Let the game pick your stats for you
You do not have to guess which attributes to invest in. Each Aniimo has two attributes the game marks as its recommended stats to raise, presented in priority order as 1st and 2nd. A thumbs up icon on the stat screen signifies a favorable stat.
Those markers are worth following for a mechanical reason, not a stylistic one. Capability Fruits raise innate potential by granting plus one to each of the two recommended innate potentials. The fruit follows the recommendation. Investing against the grain means paying for stats the fruit will not help you with.
Resident Star Up and the 24 ceiling
The standard potential cap is 20. Stats can surpass it through the Resident Star Up tab, reaching a maximum potential of 24 on favorable stats.
Note the condition. It is favorable stats that reach 24, the ones carrying the thumbs up. That makes the thumbs up more than a hint about where to spend Astranots. It is the difference between a stat that stops at the standard cap and one that keeps climbing.

Where to start
Check the Attribute Rank and the sparkling aura first, because they decide whether a creature is worth raising at all. Then read the stat screen for the 1st and 2nd recommended stats and the thumbs up icons, and push innate and acquired potential on those. The crown appears when a stat has nothing left. Anything short of that, including a bare Perfect rating, is a creature with room still on the table.
