How Capability Fruits Work in Aniimo
Capability Fruits are the only thing in Aniimo that raises innate potential after capture, and each creature gets exactly one.
The short version
- A fruit grants plus one to each of an Aniimo's two recommended innate potentials. You do not choose the stats; the recommended pair does.
- An individual Aniimo can consume only one Capability Fruit.
- Ten is the highest innate potential value an Aniimo can have. Nine is the highest that can be rolled naturally, so the top value is only reachable through an item.
- Higher innate potential lowers the total Astranite needed to max that stat out.
- Only Elite Aniimo showing a sparkling potential aura can be upgraded to Perfect. Not every Elite qualifies.
Most of what an Aniimo is gets decided the moment you catch it. Its Potential is fixed at capture, which is why the usual advice for a better statline is dull and expensive: catch the same species again, and again, until one of them rolls well.
Capability Fruits are the exception to that rule. They reach into the fixed half of a creature's stats and raise it. They are also the only way to push an Elite Aniimo up to Perfect.
The catch is that an individual Aniimo can consume only one Capability Fruit, ever. So the whole system comes down to one decision made once per creature, and this guide is about making it correctly.
What a fruit actually changes
Each of an Aniimo's six attributes is determined by two things: innate potential and acquired potential. Innate potential is the fixed starting points the creature has at capture or birth. It works like an individual value. You do not train it, it does not drift, and nothing about how you raise the Aniimo moves it. Increasing it requires a special item, and fruits are that item.
A Capability Fruit grants plus one to each of the Aniimo's two recommended innate potentials. Every Aniimo has two attributes the game marks as its recommended stats to raise, presented in priority order as 1st and 2nd. The fruit follows that marking. You are not choosing which stats improve; the creature's recommended pair already chose for you, which matters when you decide who gets fed.
Elite to Perfect, and the sparkling aura
Attribute Rank is the appraised quality grade tied to each stat's Potential, and it runs Common, Good, Elite, Perfect. It is not cosmetic. A higher-ranked Aniimo has higher stats than a lower-ranked one at the same level and the same personality, so the rank is doing real work in every fight.
An Aniimo's rarity tier can be upgraded. An Elite can be elevated to Perfect using a Capability Fruit that grants plus one Initial Potential in its recommended stat, and fruits can be applied to lower tiers to upgrade them in the same way. What stops this from being a free ride is eligibility: only Elite Aniimo that display a sparkling potential aura can be upgraded to Perfect. If your Elite is not sparkling, the fruit will still raise its innate potential, but it will not become Perfect. Check the aura before you spend.
- CommonThe lowest appraised quality grade tied to a stat's Potential.
- GoodHigher stats than Common at the same level and personality.
- EliteOnly an Elite Aniimo showing a sparkling potential aura is eligible to go further.
- PerfectReached from Elite with a Capability Fruit granting plus one Initial Potential in its recommended stat.
The ceiling you cannot roll into
Ten is the highest innate potential value an Aniimo can have. Nine is the highest value that can be rolled naturally. Those two numbers are the argument for the whole system: no amount of catching duplicates produces the top value, because the top value is not something capture hands out. An item is the only route to it.
There is a second payoff that is easy to miss. An Aniimo's innate potential value scales its enhancement costs, and higher starting potential lowers the total Astranite needed to max out a stat. So a fruit is not only more stats at the finish line. It is a shorter, cheaper road to that finish line, on a creature you were going to invest in anyway.

One fruit each, so pick the Aniimo first
Because an individual Aniimo can consume only one Capability Fruit, every fruit is a commitment to one creature and to the two stats that creature has marked as recommended. There is no reapplying it later to a better catch.
Work out the Aniimo's designated role before you invest anything in it. Deciding what a creature is for, and confirming its recommended pair suits that job, is what prevents wasted development materials. If the recommended stats point somewhere your team does not need, the fruit is better spent elsewhere, and the duplicate you catch next week may be the one that deserves it.

Capability Fruits per Aniimo
Where to start
Before you feed a fruit, confirm three things: the Aniimo's role, its two recommended stats, and whether it is an Elite with the sparkling aura. Get those right and the fruit buys you higher stats and a cheaper Astranite bill on a creature you keep. Get them wrong and there is no second fruit for that Aniimo.
