How to earn and spend Credits in Aniimo

Catching pays for its own Anipods, a code gives you 10,000 Credits, and an inheritance costs 20,000. Here is where the rest comes from and where it goes.

The short version

  1. Catching wild Aniimo pays back what a standard Anipod costs and often more, so ordinary catching is self-funding.
  2. Reporting caught Aniimo at an outpost refunds currency and earns Report Cards, so every catch is worth turning in.
  3. Redeeming the code aniimoopenworld grants 10,000 Credits.
  4. Standard Anipods cost 3,500 credits from Joff, and he offers a weekly discount at 2,000 credits.
  5. Inheritance costs 20,000 Credits, charged only when you confirm the transfer, and the Mysterious Vendor's deals run from hundreds of thousands to millions.

Credits are Aniimo's standard coin currency and the one you will touch most. They sit alongside Glimmers, Fashion Vouchers and Fame, but those are the specialists. Credits are what you earn just by playing and what you spend on Anipods, on Aniimo and on upgrade materials.

The good news is that the basic loop pays for itself. Catching earns Credits, reporting what you caught earns more, and the money covers the Anipods you used. The pressure comes later, when inheritance, trading and the expensive vendors start asking for real sums.

Catching and reporting: the loop that funds everything

Catching wild Aniimo awards money that recoups the purchase price of a standard Anipod, and often exceeds it. That is the most useful thing to know about Credits early on: you do not need to ration Anipods on ordinary catches, because the catch itself refills the wallet.

The catch is only half the payout. Take what you caught to an outpost and report it, and you get currency refunded to you. Reporting at Outpost terminals also earns Report Cards, which you otherwise collect from area chapters, quests, side missions, activities and open-world duels. Analyzing Aniimo through research awards Credits too, with extra bonus Credits for Sparkling variants.

Creatures you do not want are still worth something. At the outpost research lab you can cash in or release captured Aniimo for gold. Releasing captured or stored Aniimo returns coins, credits, a refund of experience gems and other resources, so clearing out a full box is income rather than waste.

Alpha Aniimo, Lucky Strikes and the other sources

Defeating Alpha Aniimo rewards Credits along with stamps, XP and Amber. Alphas are one of the better single payouts in the open world, and the extra rewards make them worth the detour even when you are not short of money.

Luck plays a part as well. Lucky Strikes award bonus credits when they trigger. The Super Lucky Star slot machine pays out credits, sometimes in large amounts.

Beyond that, Credits come from a long list of everyday activities: stamps, courses, home shops, nurturing, chests, catching Aniimo, and pickups inside the secret cave. None of these is a jackpot on its own. Together they mean almost anything you do in the game tops up your balance.

Codes and events

Redeem the code aniimoopenworld for 10,000 Credits. It costs you nothing and covers a good stretch of early spending.

The pre-launch Aniimo Together web event also paid out Credits. Completing a six-member squad awarded an Anapod Ultra, credits and evolution stones.

Redeeming this one code is a quick lump of Credits before you spend any time farming.

Buying Anipods

Standard Anipods can be bought from vendors such as Joff for 3,500 credits each. You can buy Anipods directly with in-game gold, so you do not have to craft them.

Joff also runs a weekly deal at the outpost: discounted Anipods for 2,000 credits. If you are stocking up, check his discount first.

When you buy in bulk, a single shop purchase now goes up to 100. The previous limit was 99.

Joff's weekly discount or the standard price

Weekly discount

  • 2,000 credits
  • Offered weekly by Joff at the outpost

Standard Anipod

  • 3,500 credits each
  • Sold by vendors such as Joff
  • Catching wild Aniimo recoups or exceeds the price

Inheritance, trading and the expensive vendors

Inheritance costs 20,000 Credits, and the charge lands when you confirm the transfer rather than when you start setting it up. Trading Aniimo with other players also costs in-game credits, so keep a reserve if you plan to do either.

Tumbler pricing depends on where you shop. The shop's catch-item stock lists it at 5,000 Credits, while other vendors price it higher or sell it for Glimmer. Super Claw sells Tumblers at a discounted 100,000, limited to five a week. Shards sell from the base camp shop for 5,000 coins each.

The Mysterious Vendor is where Credits disappear fastest. Its deals can cost hundreds of thousands to millions of credits. That is the real reason to keep catching, reporting and releasing long after your Anipod budget stops being a worry.

20,000

Credits per inheritance

The fee is charged when you confirm the transfer, so save it before you commit.

Where to start

Catch freely, because catches pay for their Anipods. Report everything at an outpost, release what you do not need, and fight Alpha Aniimo when you pass them. Redeem aniimoopenworld for 10,000 Credits on day one, buy Anipods on Joff's weekly discount, and save a reserve for inheritance at 20,000 and anything the Mysterious Vendor offers.
