How to turn a normal Aniimo Sparkling with Sigils

You don't have to catch a Sparkling to own one. Ten Sigils convert an Aniimo you already have, and every Sparkling you report at the terminal earns you one more.

The short version

  1. Turning an owned Aniimo into its Sparkling form costs ten Sigils. The same currency also goes by Sparkling Marks or Sparkling Stamps.
  2. You earn one Sparkling Sigil for each Sparkling Aniimo you catch and report in the Aniimo report at the terminal.
  3. Registering a Sparkling Aniimo at an outpost or research console also pays out sparkling marks or fragments.
  4. The Sparkling Cube and the Sparkle Pigment are the items that make a standard Aniimo Sparkling after it has been captured.
  5. Nobody has settled whether Sparkling Cubes help you catch Prismana or recolour Prismana you already own, so don't buy Cubes on either assumption.

A Sparkling Aniimo doesn't have to come from a lucky encounter. Sparkling can also be a conversion: you take a standard Aniimo you already own and spend saved currency to turn it into its Sparkling variant.

This guide covers that route and nothing else. It explains the ten Sigil cost, how you build up Sigils, and which items do the converting. For catching Sparkling Aniimo in the wild or hatching them from a sparkling egg, see the site's main guide, "How to get a Sparkling Aniimo: marks, eggs and badges".

The cost: ten Sparkling Sigils

Turning a standard Aniimo you own into its Sparkling form costs ten. The currency has several names. You will see Sparkling Sigils, Sparkling Marks, Sparkling Stamps and shiny stamps, and players often just say "sparklings". All of them mean the thing you save up and spend to make the switch.

The price is fixed at ten. You need the full ten in hand, so treat Sigils as savings and don't expect to trickle them into one Aniimo bit by bit. Before you spend, pick the Aniimo you actually want Sparkling.

Sparkling Sigils per conversion

Each Sparkling Aniimo you catch and report at the terminal earns one Sigil, so you need ten of them before you can turn one standard Aniimo sparkling.

How you earn Sigils

Sigils come from Sparkling Aniimo you already have. Each Sparkling you catch and report in the Aniimo report at the terminal gives you one Sparkling Sigil. Registering a Sparkling Aniimo at an outpost or research console also pays out, in sparkling marks or fragments.

That makes the loop simple. Any Sparkling you find is worth registering even if you have no use for that creature, because it moves you closer to the one you do want. Report every Sparkling as soon as you get it. One that never reaches the terminal earns you nothing toward the next conversion.

The items that do the conversion

Sigils are the currency. The conversion happens through a sparkling item. A standard Aniimo can be made Sparkling after capture with either a Sparkling Cube or a Sparkle Pigment. Applying Sparkling Marks to an owned Aniimo is how you pay for it, and the ten sparkling cost covers the change.

The cash shop also sells a Sparkling Collection bundle for 1,680 Lumin Crystals. It is the paid alternative to grinding. If you'd rather earn your Sparklings through play, the terminal and the outposts are free.

Sparkling Cubes and Prismana

The Prismana question is still open. Sparkling Cubes are tied to Prismana Aniimo, but how isn't settled yet. In one version the Cube is especially valuable for catching a Prismana, or even required to catch one. In the other you use it on a Prismana you have already caught, to change its hue.

Those are two very different uses. The first means holding Cubes back for a hunt. The second means you spend them only after the catch. Until it's settled, don't spend Cubes freely on standard Aniimo if you're also chasing Prismana, and don't hoard them for a capture that may not need them.

Where to start

Report every Sparkling you catch at the terminal and register it at an outpost or research console. Save until you have ten Sigils, then spend them on the one Aniimo you actually want Sparkling, using a Sparkling Cube or Sparkle Pigment. If you're also hunting Prismana, be careful with Cubes until their role there is settled.
