Infergon: Perfect-Only Evolution and Omega Fight
Infergon only evolves from a Perfect-quality Jawling line at level 48, with a Blaze Stone, and only after you beat Omega Infergon. Here is how to get each piece.
The short version
- Infergon only evolves from a Jawling or Helmwhelp with a Perfect potential rating. Good or Elite quality will not work, however high you level it.
- Helmwhelp needs to be level 48 and you need a Blaze Stone. Evolving it at the sword then starts a fight with Omega Infergon, and you have to win that fight.
- Perfect stats carry over through evolution. The standard way to get a Perfect Infergon is to catch around 20 to 30 Jawling and evolve the Perfect one.
- Omega Infergon cannot be captured. It is a boss you defeat, not a shortcut to the dragon.
- Infergon is a Fire DPS. Flaming Claws is its main damage skill and Lava Breath puts eight stacks of the Fire debuff on its targets.
Infergon is a flying Fire dragon and the final stage of a three-stage line. That line starts at Jawling, moves to Helmwhelp, and ends at Infergon. You can't catch Infergon in the wild. The only way to get one is to evolve it, and this evolution has stricter conditions than most.
There are four requirements, and missing any one of them blocks you. The pre-evolution has to be Perfect quality, Helmwhelp has to reach level 48, you need a Blaze Stone, and you have to beat Omega Infergon in its quest arena. The quality rule catches most people out, so start there.
The Infergon evolution requirements

Helmwhelp evolves into Infergon at level 48, and the evolution uses a Blaze Stone. Those two conditions are normal for an evolution. The third one is not: only a Jawling or Helmwhelp with a Perfect potential rating can become Infergon. Good and Elite quality are not enough. A Helmwhelp below Perfect will never evolve into Infergon, so check its rating before you spend levels and materials on it.
The fourth condition is the fight. The evolution happens at the sword, and evolving there starts a battle with Omega Infergon. You have to win it to get your dragon.
There is one exception to evolution being the only route, and it is a variant rather than the regular form. Prismana Infergon was a Season 1 reward: an egg earned through stamps in the Season Journey once you reached season rank 12.
- JawlingBase form. Only a Perfect potential rating can go on to become Infergon.
- HelmwhelpMiddle stage. Must reach level 48 and use a Blaze Stone.
- InfergonFinal stage. A flying Fire dragon that is obtainable only through evolution.
Aniimo perfect stats: finding a Perfect Jawling

Perfect stats carry over through evolution. That means the work happens at the bottom of the line. If you catch a Perfect Jawling, you will end up with a Perfect Infergon.
The recommended approach is volume. Catch around 20 to 30 Jawling and keep the one with perfect potential. It is slow, but no step later in the line will raise the rating for you, so this part can't be skipped.
Jawling has its own puzzle and questline in the Russet Highlands. The entrance is under a pile of leaves behind ruins on the northern cliff of the Sanctum First Site. It is easy to walk straight past, so search the cliff carefully.

The Omega Infergon fight
Omega Infergon is part of the main storyline. It is connected to the Warrior story quest, and it is defeated at the end of that quest. Once you have finished the Warrior story quest, you can go back to the arena and fight it again. You will find Infergon as a boss at the top of a mountain in the Russet Highlands.
Like every Omega boss, Omega Infergon cannot be captured. Beating it does not give you the creature. It unlocks the evolution. Your Infergon still has to come from the Perfect Helmwhelp you raised yourself.
Infergon's kit: Fire debuff stacks and boss damage
Infergon is a Fire DPS Aniimo. Flaming Claws is its main damage skill. Lava Breath does a different job: it applies eight stacks of the Fire debuff to its targets. That is a lot of stacks from a single skill, and it is what makes Infergon more than raw damage.
Ferocious Fang is a recommended held item for it. Infergon fits naturally into a fire team, where it can be the main damage dealer against bosses. If you are building around Fire, the stricter evolution is worth the effort. You get your team's carry out of it.

Where to start
Start by catching Jawling until one of them shows a Perfect potential rating. Nothing later can make up for a lower rating. Then take that Perfect Helmwhelp to level 48, get a Blaze Stone, finish the Warrior story quest and evolve it at the sword. You can only finish the evolution by beating Omega Infergon. After that, give it a Ferocious Fang and make it the main damage dealer on your fire team.
