Prismana color variants, hue swaps and Sparkling Cubes
Prismana and Sparkling are separate layers that can stack on one Aniimo. Here are the 13 hues, what a Pigment rerolls, and what 1.1 lets you switch back to.
The short version
- Prismana and Sparkling are different things: Prismana is a rare alternate Nova-stage form, Sparkling is a rare cosmetic recolour with a sparkling aura, and one Aniimo can be both at once.
- Each Prismana Aniimo has 13 possible colour variants: the basic Prismana form, ten common Sparkling Types I to X, a Dazzling Sparkling and a Shadow Sparkling.
- The ten common sparkling colours together appear at a 99% rate, so Dazzling and Shadow are the rare end of the pool.
- A Sparkling Pigment from the shop randomly rerolls a shiny Prismana's colour palette, one Pigment per reroll.
- From version 1.1 the original Prismana hue counts as unlocked, so you can switch freely between unlocked sparkling hues and back to it after using a Sparkling Cube.
People mix up Prismana and Sparkling Aniimo all the time, and the colour system is easier once you stop doing that. They are two separate things. A single Aniimo can carry both, and most of the colour options in this guide only exist when it does.
This guide covers what a Prismana is, the 13 colour variants a Prismana can wear, the two items that change those colours, and what version 1.1 changed about switching between them.
Aniimo Sparkling vs Prismana
A Prismana is a rare alternate form at the Nova stage. It looks different from the standard form: lighter and brighter colouring, and now and then an elemental typing the standard form does not have. So a Prismana is a different version of the creature, not just a paint job.
A Sparkling Aniimo, also called shiny or glimmering, is a rare cosmetic recolour. It works like a shiny Pokémon. Its colours and body markings change and it gets a sparkling aura. That is all it changes. The game treats it as separate from the Prismana form.
The two can overlap. An Aniimo can spawn as a Prismana and as a shiny at the same time, and that combination is where the rest of this guide happens. Sparkling styles and Sigil customisation for Aniimo in general have their own article on this site.
If your collection is getting big, the storage box can filter by rarity, and Prismana is one of the options next to Alpha. You can also filter by Potential grade: Common, Good, Elite or Perfect.

The 13 Prismana colour variants
Prismana Aniimo come in randomised colours, and each one has 13 possible colour variants. Those 13 make up a sparkle tier:
The basic Prismana form. Ten common Sparkling Types, numbered I to X. A Dazzling Sparkling variant. A Shadow Sparkling variant.
Leave out the basic form and you have 12 sparkling colour variants. The rates are lopsided. The ten common types together appear at a 99% rate, which leaves Dazzling and Shadow at the rare end of the pool. If you are hoping for one of those two, expect to see the numbered types many times first.

Changing a hue: Sparkling Cubes and Sparkling Pigments
Two items change a Prismana's colours, and they work differently.
Sparkling Cubes are the one people argue about, because how they apply to Prismana is not settled. They are described as the item you need to capture a Prismana, and also as an item you use on a Prismana you already own to change its hue. Which one is right affects when you spend them. The article on this site about what to use Sparkling Cubes on goes into that choice in full.
Sparkling Pigments are simpler. You buy them in the shop, and each one randomly rerolls the colour palette of a shiny Prismana. One Pigment buys one reroll. You do not get to pick the result, so with the common types at 99% between them, most rerolls will give you one of the ten numbered colours.
Hue switching from version 1.1
Version 1.1 made colour changes much less risky. From that update, a Prismana's original Prismana hue counts as an unlocked hue. After using a Sparkling Cube you can switch back to it, so trying a new colour no longer costs you the old one.
It works the same way for the sparkling colours. A sparkling Prismana can be switched freely between every sparkling hue it has unlocked, and back to its original Prismana colour. Each new hue you unlock becomes another option you keep. The full list of 1.1 changes is in this site's patch article.
Where to start
Treat Prismana and Sparkling as two separate layers that can stack. On a shiny Prismana, a Pigment gives you a random reroll and the ten common colours will come up most of the time. Since 1.1 you can always switch back to any hue you have unlocked, including the original, so changing colour carries no lasting risk.
