Title Promotion and creature level caps in Aniimo
Stuck at level 25? The Sea of Flowers assessment exam lifts that cap. You need four Elite Training core courses per stage before Title Promotion opens.
The short version
- You cannot attempt Title Promotion until you have completed four core courses within your current Elite Training stage.
- The assessment exam in the Sea of Flowers is what lifts the level 25 cap, and later thresholds such as level 35 also need promotion exams.
- Title promotion assessment quest chains are now called Promotion Series, so look for that name in your quest log.
- Elite Training path missions also pay out Somniwing as their 180-point reward, and it cannot be caught in the wild.
- Reaching level 40 and the Junior Wayfarer rank unlocks the Prismana Pact selector, which gives you one free rare Prismana Aniimo.
Sooner or later your Aniimo stop gaining levels and the game stops explaining why. That is a level cap. In most cases it is waiting on your player title, not on more grinding.
This guide covers the two systems that move your title forward. Elite Training is the checklist you work through, and the Promotion Series is the exam at the end of it. It also covers what promotion unlocks and how to spend the time while you are capped.
What raises the Aniimo level cap
The game does not settle this cleanly. Main story quests in the campaign are given as one way the cap rises. The other is raising your Pathfinder rank, or Wayfarer level, by clearing Pathfinder promotion exams and the Elite Training missions that advance your player title.
The second route has a concrete example. The assessment exam in the Sea of Flowers is what lifts the level 25 cap. Later thresholds such as level 35 need these exams as well. If story progress has not moved your cap, check your title next. The exam is usually what is holding you back.
Elite Training core courses
Elite Training is where you earn progress toward promotion. It is split into chapters and sections, each with listed tasks, and finishing those tasks is how progress builds. The tasks that count are under the Core Courses tab, so that is the tab to open first.
The rule that matters: you need to complete four core courses within an Elite Training stage before you can attempt Title Promotion and raise your level cap. Three is not enough. Until all four are done, the promotion attempt stays out of reach no matter what level your team is.
The path missions are also worth finishing for their own sake. Somniwing cannot be caught in the wild. It is the 180-point reward on the Elite Training path missions' points track, so the only way to get one is to keep working through the tasks.

The Promotion Series exams
Once your core courses are done, the next step is the promotion assessment itself. These quest chains used to be called title promotion assessments and are now named Promotion Series. If you are searching your quest log for an assessment and cannot find one, look under that name instead.
Clearing a Promotion Series exam is what moves your title up, and your title is what moves your cap. The Sea of Flowers exam that opens up play past level 25 is the first one most players will notice.
What a higher rank unlocks
Rank is not only about levels. The Irasalys Legendary Journey event unlocks at the Student 1 rank, so even your first promotions open content.
The bigger launch reward sits further up. Reaching account level 40 together with the Junior Wayfarer Pathfinder rank (also called Junior Excursionist) unlocks the Prismana Pact selector. It lets you choose one free rare Prismana Aniimo between levels 40 and 45. The number of choices is not settled: it is given both as 14 and as six. Either way, level alone will not open it. You need the rank too, which means the promotion exams before it cannot be skipped.

Making use of time at the cap
While you work through core courses, your existing team still has room to grow. The training menu handles rank ups, skill customization, Capability Awakening and carried item management. You do not have to follow the game's recommended stat allocation either. Capability Points can go into whichever stats you want.
To see detailed stats on a captured Aniimo, take it to an identification station at an outpost to be scanned or appraised. Do that before you start spending points, so you know what you are working with.
The Institute Guide has a daily activity tab whose objectives reset every 24 hours. It is steady progress you can fit around Elite Training.
For team choices, judge a team by what content it can handle, not by which individual Aniimo are strongest. The Emberpup line is a recommended early priority. Lunara is the starter to lean on if you are new to action RPGs or prefer ranged combat and safer positioning. Both are covered in more depth in our day-one priorities guide.
Where to start
When your levels stop moving, open Elite Training, go to the Core Courses tab and finish all four courses in your stage. Then clear the Promotion Series exam. Keep pushing your rank toward Junior Wayfarer, because that rank, together with level 40, is what unlocks the free Prismana pick.
