Guides › Bloom shard offerings: choosing which Aniimo nurture spawns
Can Umbra Aniimo spawn during wild surges?
Wild surges, which are activated through ecosystem nurturing, have a chance to spawn rare Umbra Aniimo.
Natural Umbral spawns sit at a base rate of roughly 1 in 3,000 in the open world.
That makes them one of the rarest creature variants in Aniimo, alongside sparkling and Prismana forms. Both basic and fully evolved species can appear directly in Umbral form.
When an Umbral Aniimo spawns, it has dark purple and black coloration resembling the dark essence of Darklers, with a misty, cloud-like look. Once captured, the creature shows a purple glow inside your monster box.
Improving encounter rates
Triggering wild surges through ecosystem nurturing concentrates your encounter opportunities instead of relying entirely on standard wandering. Outside of surges, equipping the Wind Chaser Badge increases open-world Umbral and sparkling spawn rates by 50%.
Environmental conditions still dictate which base species can appear. Aniimo spawns change based on regional habitats, the day-night cycle, and active weather systems, including limited-time phenomena like blooms and thunderstorms.
Not settled: Whether Umbral Aniimo always have perfect potential is not settled yet. They appear both with guaranteed perfect base stats regardless of form or capture device, and with ordinary variance across normal, elite, and perfect grades.
