Guides › How Tumbler Pods and wild surges work

Do friends' wild surges speed up Prismana inflow?

Joining friends' wild surges boosts the player's own world energy for that region, reaching a Prismana inflow faster than playing solo.

The boost lands in your own world, so taking turns in each other's surges helps both of you.

The efficient pattern is a rotation. You join a friend's surge, they join yours, and each visit pushes your own world's energy for that region along. Working through it alone is slow: filling the prismatic energy bar on catches alone means an hour or more of Outbreak catching. There is a second payoff too. Surges run with friends grant bonus prismatic energy when Vein Essence is used, so nurturing together pays better than nurturing alone.

Whoever's world it is, the surge still has to be captured, not fought. Aniimo spawned by nurturing or a wild surge give no Vein Essence and no progress toward the zone's Prismana if you defeat them. Catching every target Aniimo in the surge is what releases Prismatic Energy into the zone, and that unlocks releasing it at the zone's flower.

What to bring to a friend's surge

Cheap pods are enough. Prismana farming only needs the cheapest Anipods, and regular Aniipods get more lucky catches per coin than Pro or Mega pods do. Don't spend better items on the nurture either: what you offer no longer decides how good the Wild Surge is.

The order that works is to use your nurturing attempts or bonus first, then farm catches in the surge. A surge pulls in a circle of about 20 wild Aniimo native to that region, and it has a chance to spawn rare Umbra Aniimo, so one session with friends covers your Prismana progress and a shot at a rare catch together.
