Guides › How to Catch Legendary Aniimo

How do you get Irisalis?

Irisalis is obtained by completing missions in the Legendary Journey section of the event menu.

Irisalis is a Season 1 legendary, so the event that gives it only runs for a limited time. The event is Windchasers Departure, listed under Legendary Journey, and it is built around collecting Irisalis Petals (also called Iris Petals). Collect enough and you reach milestones that unlock rewards, including the Irisalis encounter itself.

You do not have to catch it by luck. You craft a Legendary Aniipod first. Crafting it starts the search: your Aniipod picks up Irisalis's trails and opens the rift space where you fight it. Beat it, throw the pod you crafted during the soothe interaction, and the catch always succeeds.

Where the petals come from

Your petals come from Memory: The Faded Rainbow, an investigation on the Weekly Rotation tab. Select the faded rainbow to start it. It is a legendary refight, it costs energy, and you can clear it only twice per reset. Each clear gives you 3 petals directly, for up to 6 per reset. Rewards you have not claimed when the reset passes are gone, so do both clears every period while the event is running.

The fight is not hard. It is easier than the weekly investigation boss, so a team that handles that boss has no trouble here.

The one-time fight and the second pod

The story boss fight against Irisalis can only be done once. It is the scripted encounter that every legendary capture now follows, so nothing about it is random.

After you craft the Irisalis Anipod you can spend more petals on a second legendary Anipod, Wind Chaser's Departure. Aniimo caught with it carry exclusive seasonal perks: they always appear in sparkling form and always have perfect innate potential. If you want the best version of Irisalis, keep collecting petals after the first pod.

Not settled: The reset period for Memory: The Faded Rainbow is not settled. It is given both as weekly, on Monday at 4:00 a.m., and as every 3 days, which changes how many petals you can collect before the event ends.
