Homeland recipes and processing chains: what sells best

Perfume sells for 900 and apple cider vinegar for 510. Roasted soy is the best Aniimo food we know of, and incense is the one recipe not worth your time.

The short version

  1. The lemon and honey perfume, made from two honeys and lemons, sells for 900 and is the strongest seller in this list.
  2. Apple cider vinegar sells for 510 but uses eight apples per craft, so it is a steady earner rather than a cheap one.
  3. Quick recipes produce more than double the output of basic recipes for base materials in the same time, so use them whenever you can.
  4. Roasted soy gives about 26,000 energy per unit to house Aniimo and can still be sold, while wheat flour gives 9,300 energy per item.
  5. Skip incense: it needs honey, lavender and a further modification step, which makes it a poor recipe.

Your Homeland gives you two kinds of facility. Some extract raw materials, and some transform them. Anything you make can usually be processed again into something worth more, and almost all of it, raw crops included, sells at the co-op store for Home Coins.

That means the real question is never whether to craft. It is which chains end somewhere useful. Some recipes turn a handful of crops into a big payout. Some feed your Aniimo far better than the raw ingredients would. One costs you an extra step and gives you little back.

This page sorts them out: what to sell, what to feed, which long chains to start early, and the recipe to leave alone.

The recipes that pay: perfume and cider vinegar

Start with the perfume. The brewed lemon and honey recipe takes two honeys plus lemons and sells for 900. Of the goods covered here, nothing sells higher, and it uses only two ingredient types.

Apple cider vinegar is the other reliable earner. It sells for 510, but each craft eats eight apples. If you have an orchard producing faster than you can use it, vinegar is a good place to put the surplus. If apples are scarce, the perfume gives you more for less.

Both of these sell at the co-op store for Home Coins, the same as everything else you produce.

Perfume or apple cider vinegar

Perfume

  • A brewed lemon and honey product
  • Uses two honeys and lemons
  • Sells for 900

Apple cider vinegar

  • Crafted from apples
  • Uses eight apples
  • Sells for 510

Quick recipes beat basic ones

Whichever good you settle on, check whether a quick recipe exists for it. Quick recipes produce more output than basic recipes, and for base materials it is more than double in the same duration.

The catch with any processing chain is time spent in a facility. A recipe that turns out more in the same window frees that facility up sooner for the next step, so the quick version is the one to run.

Feeding your house Aniimo

Processed goods are not only for selling. Some of them are Aniimo food, and the gap between options is large.

Wheat flour can be fed to house Aniimo for 9,300 energy per item. That is respectable, but roasted soy is far stronger at about 26,000 energy per unit. Roasted soy also has a sell value, so a stockpile of it is never wasted: feed what you need and sell the rest.

Wheat has a second route too. The carousel mill uses water to process wheat into wheat meal, which is one more way a single crop branches into different products depending on what you need that day.

Wheat flour or roasted soy as Aniimo food

Wheat flour

  • Can be fed to house Aniimo
  • Provides 9,300 energy per item

Roasted soy

  • Works as Aniimo food
  • Provides about 26,000 energy per unit
  • Also has sell value

Long chains worth starting early: cotton and wool

Cotton is a key crop, and not for its sale price. It opens a multi-step textile crafting chain that leads to late-game items. If you want those items later, you need cotton fields and the facilities behind them running well before you get there.

Wool follows a similar pattern. You process it into yarn on the Joy Wheel Loom, and yarn is the start of something more valuable rather than the end product.

A couple of simpler materials round out the picture. Salt is an abundant raw material your Homeland produces without much effort, and sugar cane is used to make rock candy. Neither is a headline earner on its own, but both feed your production rather than sitting idle.

The recipe to skip: incense

Incense is crafted from honey and lavender, and then it needs a further modification before it is finished. That extra step is what sinks it. It is a poor recipe.

The honey matters here too. Honey is half of the perfume recipe, which sells for 900. Every honey you put into incense is honey that is not going into your best seller, so the comparison is not close.

Where to start

Put your honey and lemons into perfume, put spare apples into cider vinegar, and use quick recipes whenever they exist. Feed your house Aniimo roasted soy over wheat flour and sell what is left. Start cotton early for the textile chain, and leave incense alone.
