Does Homeland production continue while offline?

Yes, staffed facilities keep running while you are away. The one thing that stops them overnight is an empty seed supply, and it can take whole lines down.

The short version

  1. Homeland production continues while you are offline or AFK, as long as Aniimo are assigned to do the work.
  2. Woodlands and mines on your plot generate raw materials passively, with gathering Aniimo working the woodlands.
  3. A developed Homeland produces standard Aniipods and Growth Fruit over time through staffed facilities, and those facilities keep working while you are offline.
  4. Running out of seeds halts crop cultivation even while you are offline, and every production line that depends on that crop stops with it.
  5. RV trips and automated dispatches bring back trip materials, including baseline materials and held items. Trips start from the park, where you send out the travel spirit.

Short answer: yes. Your Homeland keeps working when you log off. Aniimo you have assigned there carry on farming and producing while you are AFK or offline, so the base you left is further along when you come back.

The catch is that this depends on the inputs still being there. Most of what the Homeland makes runs on its own, but crops need seeds, and when those run out the stoppage spreads further than you might expect.

This page covers what keeps going, what stops, and what to check before you put the game down.

Who does the work while you are gone

Everything here runs on Aniimo. Captured Aniimo you are not using in your team can be assigned jobs in the Homeland, and they handle the chores themselves: planting and tending crops, drawing water, mining stone, and crafting items such as pods. Placing them is covered in the worker assignment guide, so the only point that matters here is simple. A job with nobody assigned to it produces nothing, online or off.

Once staffed, the workers manage farming and production passively, and that production continues while you are AFK. That is the whole appeal of the system. You can be out catching, battling or simply logged off, and the Homeland is still turning out resources, Bud Tickets included.

Woodlands and mines: raw materials on autopilot

The two simplest sources on your plot are woodlands and mines. Woodlands are worked by gathering Aniimo and generate materials passively. Mines passively extract raw materials.

Neither asks anything of you once it is running. They are the base layer of the Homeland: steady raw materials that pile up whether you are watching or not, and that the rest of your production draws on.

Facilities: Aniipods and Growth Fruit over time

This is where offline production pays off most. A developed Homeland passively produces standard Aniipods and Growth Fruit over time through facilities staffed by assigned Aniimo, and those facilities continue working while you are offline.

The word that matters is developed. Facilities only produce if they exist and have workers in them, so the more of your Homeland you build out and staff, the more you collect after each break. A thin base with empty buildings gives you very little back for the hours you spend away.

The one thing that stops everything: seeds

Crop cultivation needs seeds. Run out, and cultivation halts, including while you are offline. Your workers do not find something else to do and the crop does not keep growing on credit. It simply stops.

The bigger problem is what happens downstream. Every production line that depends on that crop stops too. So one empty seed supply can quietly shut down far more than a single field, and you will not notice until you log back in to find a chain of idle facilities.

Which crops need which seeds is the subject of the crops guide. For offline play the habit is enough: check your seed stock before you log off, especially for any crop that feeds other production.

Trips and dispatches

Trips are a separate way to gather without doing it yourself. You start them from the park, where the travel spirit can be sent out to gather resources.

Aniimo sent on Homeland RV trips and automated dispatches can return with trip materials, which include baseline materials and held items. Held items are the reason to keep trips going alongside your plot: woodlands and mines cover raw materials, while trips bring back things your fields and facilities do not make.

Where to start

Before you log off, make sure every facility you care about has Aniimo assigned and every crop has seeds in stock. Send out a trip from the park if one is free. Do that and the Homeland works the whole time you are away. Skip the seed check and you may come back to a stalled production chain.
