How to get Melobloom: location, evolution and Prismana
Budsquire only becomes Melobloom after the Flowers and Thorns quest. The Light-typed Prismana form spawns in Rose Tower Woods until 5 October.

The short version
- Wild Melobloom lives around White Rose Tower in Rose Tower Woods. Its habitat is at the bottom of the maze, near the waypoint.
- If a Melobloom capture fails, you have to wait a full day before you can try again.
- Budsquire evolves into Melobloom only once you have completed the Flowers and Thorns journey quest.
- Prismana Melobloom spawns in Rose Tower Woods during the Vein Abundance rotation, from 28 September to 5 October, and the event Prismana surges from Friday to Sunday.
- Prismana Melobloom adds Light as a secondary type alongside Grass and gets access to Sparkling Rose. Tubster is the recommended Aniimo for farming it.
Melobloom is a Grass Aniimo tied to one place: Rose Tower Woods. You can catch one in the wild, evolve one from Budsquire, or chase the Prismana form while the Vein Abundance event is running there.
Each route has its own condition. The wild catch starts with a story mission. The evolution is locked behind a journey quest. The Prismana form depends on the event rotation and on the region's Nurture Bloom. This guide goes through all three in order, then covers what the Prismana form actually changes.
You will see the name spelled several ways, Mellow Bloom among them. They all mean the same creature, and this page uses Melobloom throughout.
Where to find Melobloom in Rose Tower Woods
Head for White Rose Tower in Rose Tower Woods. Melobloom turns up around the tower, and its habitat is at the bottom of the maze, close to the waypoint. Unlock that waypoint and you have a quick way back whenever you need another attempt.
Rose Tower Woods is also where you nurture Melobloom, at a designated plant in the region. That plant matters for the Prismana form, which the event section below covers.
Catching it: the story mission and the one-day retry
Melobloom becomes catchable after you encounter it during a story mission. If you are wandering the maze and finding nothing, push the story forward first.
The catch is the retry rule. A failed Melobloom capture can only be attempted again after you wait a full day. So treat the first throw seriously: get the creature into good shape for capture before you commit, because a miss costs you a day, not just another try.
Budsquire evolution: the Flowers and Thorns quest
If you already own a Budsquire, you can evolve it into Melobloom, but only after completing the Flowers and Thorns journey quest. Until that quest is finished, the evolution stays closed no matter how much else you do with your Budsquire.
That makes the quest the real gate on this evolution. If you want Melobloom without relying on the wild encounter and its one-day retry, finishing Flowers and Thorns is the way to do it.
Aniimo Prismana: Melobloom during Vein Abundance
Prismana Melobloom spawns in Rose Tower Woods during the Vein Abundance event rotation, which runs from 28 September to 5 October. Melobloom also appears around White Rose Tower while Vein Abundance is on, so the event is when the region is at its busiest.
The weekend is the window to target. From Friday to Sunday the event Prismana spawns in a mass surge, and that surge includes the earlier evolution form of the weekly Prismana, with Melobloom among them.
The Nurture Bloom gives you another way in. Filling a region's Nurture Bloom spawns a specific Aniimo in its Prismana form, and Prismana Melobloom is one of those. Since Melobloom is nurtured at a designated plant in Rose Tower Woods, that plant is how you work towards it.
For the farming itself, Tubster is the recommended Aniimo. A single team built around it can farm Prismana repeatedly, Prismana Melobloom included, so you do not need to rebuild your party between runs.
What Prismana Melobloom changes
The Prismana form is more than a colour swap. Prismana Melobloom gains Light as a secondary type alongside Grass, which gives it a second typing that the regular form does not have.
It also gains access to Sparkling Rose and has one Light skill. If you want a Grass Aniimo that can also hit with Light, this is the version worth farming during Vein Abundance.
Where to start
Start the story mission and unlock the waypoint at the bottom of the White Rose Tower maze. Finish Flowers and Thorns if you want to evolve a Budsquire. If you are after Prismana Melobloom, build a Tubster team and farm Rose Tower Woods before the Vein Abundance rotation ends on 5 October.
