How to log in and link your Aniimo account

Cross save only works if every platform signs into the same Aniimo Pass account on the same server. Here is how to set that up, and what to do when linking fails.

The short version

  1. On first launch you have to tick the terms agreement checkbox on the login screen before you can pick a login method.
  2. You can log in with email, Google, Facebook, Discord or Line. Creating an account needs an email address that can receive a verification code.
  3. If you skipped the binding prompt, you can still bind your account later from the account section in settings.
  4. Cross save covers PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and mobile. It only works when you log into the same Aniimo Pass account on the same server, and progress on different servers stays separate.
  5. Linking a Steam or console account can fail. Support tickets that need your account data checked go through several teams, so expect a slow reply.

Aniimo runs on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and mobile, and your progress carries across all of them. You only get that if you set the account up properly. Most of the problems people have with logging in come from a step they skipped on the first screen or a server they forgot they chose.

This guide goes in the order you'll meet things: the login screen, the email verification that creates your account, binding an account from settings later, and the conditions cross save needs. The last section covers what to expect when a Steam or console link fails, because support takes a while to sort those out.

The first login screen

The first time you launch the game, the login screen has a terms agreement checkbox. You have to tick it before you can choose a login method and get into the game. It's easy to miss, and nothing works until it's ticked.

After that you pick how to sign in. Aniimo supports email, Google, Facebook, Discord and Line accounts. Pick the one you'll still have access to on every device you plan to play on, because that account is what ties your progress together later.

Creating your account and verifying your email

Every Aniimo account is built on an email address, and that address has to be able to receive a verification code. Use an inbox you can actually open, on the device you're playing on if possible, because you can't finish setting up without the code.

Once the email is linked, you choose a language and character creation starts. So the email step isn't something you can tidy up after the tutorial. It sits between you and your first character.

From first launch to character creation
  1. Tick the terms boxRequired on the login screen before you can choose a login method.
  2. Choose a login methodEmail, Google, Facebook, Discord or Line.
  3. Enter the verification codeSent to the email address you use to create the account.
  4. Choose a languageComes after the email is linked.
  5. Create your characterBegins once the email is linked and a language is chosen.

Binding an account after you skipped the prompt

If you skipped the binding prompt at the start, you haven't lost your chance. You can bind an account from inside the game at any time through the account section in settings.

It's worth doing early. An unbound account is a weak link when you want to move to another platform, and binding from settings takes much less effort than recovering progress you can't prove belongs to you.

What cross save actually needs

Aniimo has cross-play and full cross-save progression across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and mobile. Progress is shared when you log into the same Aniimo Pass account on the same server. Both conditions have to hold.

In practice, link every platform to the same email address. On PlayStation you also need your PSN account linked. Then pick the same server everywhere. Data on different servers stays independent, so a character on one server won't show up when you log in on another, even with the right account.

If you're bringing an existing account over to your phone, it can be synced to the mobile version. Our mobile release guide covers that process.

When linking fails and you need support

Linking a Steam or console account to a game account can fail. If it does, check the basics first: are you signed into the same email on both sides, and is it the same server? Those are the conditions cross save depends on.

If that doesn't fix it, you'll need a support ticket, and you should be patient. Replies can take a long time. Any problem that needs your account data checked can involve several teams, and those take longer to resolve than a simple question. Send the ticket once with clear details, keep playing on the account that works, and don't create a fresh account in the meantime to get around it.

Where to start

Tick the terms box, sign up with an email you can reliably get codes on, and bind your account from settings if you skipped it. Before you play on a second device, make sure it's the same email (plus your PSN link on PlayStation) and the same server. If a Steam or console link still fails, file one clear ticket and expect to wait.
