Magmarex: Fire Stacks, Break Kit and Volcano Cave
Magmarex stacks a Fire debuff and then cashes it in for burst damage. Here is how the stacks pay off, when to hold back on a break bar, and which geyser leads to it.

The short version
- Magmarex is a Break-role Aniimo with Fire typing, a large health pool and high attack, and it breaks with area-of-effect potential.
- Its kit stacks a Fire debuff on enemies and then detonates those stacks for burst damage, with Lava Punch normally consuming them.
- Flaming Claws consumes Fire debuff stacks on the enemy to deal 30% more damage, so stacks are a resource you spend, not just a damage-over-time effect.
- Magmarex spawns in Zephus Landbridge inside an underground volcano cave that you reach by jumping down a geyser; the Alpha waits at the far end of that underground arena.
- Do not empty the break bar automatically: in some fights, such as the Magmarex phase, it should not be fully emptied.
Magmarex is what you pick when you want a breaker that also hits hard. It is a Break-role Aniimo with Fire typing, a large health pool and high attack, and its damage comes from a simple loop: stack a Fire debuff on the enemy, then spend those stacks for burst.
This page covers how that loop works, what its typing looks like, how to handle a break bar with it, and where to find one. If you want the full picture of which Aniimo can break and in which element, that has its own list on this site. Here, the subject is Magmarex.
What Magmarex does in a break team
Magmarex is a Break-role Aniimo. In plain terms, it is there to work down an enemy's break bar, and it does that with area-of-effect potential rather than one target at a time.
It is also durable. A large health pool and high attack mean it does not need to be protected while it does its job, and it does not stop dealing damage once the bar is down.
Its type is Fire. It is also listed as Fire paired with Dark, so check the typing shown on your own Magmarex before you plan matchups around a second type.

Fire stacks: build them, then detonate
Magmarex is a burn unit. It applies multiple stacks of a Fire debuff to enemies, and those stacks raise its attack damage. The longer the fight runs, the more each hit is worth.
The stacks are not only there to tick. They can be detonated for burst damage, and Lava Punch is the skill that normally consumes them. That gives you a rhythm: apply stacks, then cash them in with Lava Punch when you want a spike.
Flaming Claws works on the same resource. It consumes Fire debuff stacks on the enemy to deal 30% more damage. The catch with any consuming skill is that spending stacks removes them, so firing a consumer too early throws away the damage bonus the stacks were giving you.
If you are building a team around the Fire debuff, Infergon's Lava Breath applies eight stacks of it to its targets.
When not to empty the break bar
A breaker's instinct is to drain the bar as fast as possible. That is usually right, and with Magmarex's area-of-effect breaking it happens quickly.
It is not always right. In some fights, such as the Magmarex phase, the break bar should not be fully emptied. Watch the bar in those encounters and ease off before it hits zero, rather than letting Magmarex's burst finish it for you.
Getting around: Fast and Furious
Magmarex has a traversal skill, named Fast and Furious or Hustle. It lets Magmarex run around breaking through obstacles and bypassing strong wind.
That makes it useful outside combat too. Obstacles that block other routes and wind that pushes you back are both things it can simply go through.
Where Magmarex spawns: the Zephus Landbridge volcano cave
Magmarex spawns in Zephus Landbridge, inside an underground volcano cave. You will not find the entrance by walking: you reach the cave by jumping down a geyser.
The Alpha Magmarex is further in. It resides at the far end of the underground arena below that geyser, so once you drop in, keep going to the end of the arena if the Alpha is what you are after.
Where to start
Take Magmarex if you want a sturdy Fire breaker that rewards patience: let the Fire stacks build, spend them with Lava Punch or Flaming Claws, and hold back on the break bar in fights like the Magmarex phase. To get one, find the geyser in Zephus Landbridge, jump down, and head to the far end of the arena for the Alpha.
