Breaker Aniimo list by element
Blazen covers Lightning, Geoclaw covers Ice, Pan Panta covers Water and Tuckin covers Grass. This list gives the breaker for each element and shows where Inferlupa fits.
The short version
- Blazen is the Lightning breaker and specialises in breaking enemy shields; Lightning Claw and Lightning Cross both deal 150% break.
- Inferlupa is one of the best breakers in the game and can be your team's breaker.
- Earth has more than one option: Minespine is a breaker, and Bouldus is a support that also breaks.
- Geoclaw is a dedicated Ice breaker, Pan Panta is the Water breaker, and Tuckin is the Grass break option for an Irisalis team.
- Magmar Rex is a Fire breaker with area-of-effect potential, and Rookie fills the Dark slot.
A breaker's job is to tear down enemy defences so the rest of your team can do damage. Most elements in Aniimo have at least one creature built for that slot, and once you know which one, team building gets much easier.
This list sorts the breakers by element: Lightning, Fire, Dark, Earth, Ice, Water and Grass. It ends with Inferlupa and Tubster. Their elements are not covered here, but both belong in any conversation about break.
Lightning: Blazen breaks shields

Blazen is a Break-role Aniimo built around Lightning, and it is the clearest example of what a breaker is for. It specialises in breaking enemy shields, so it is the one to bring into a fight where a shield is what stands between you and the damage.
The numbers back that up. Blazen's attacks, Lightning Claw and Lightning Cross included, deal 150% break. That means its ordinary attacks contribute to the break, and you are not waiting on one big skill to do it.

Fire and Dark: Magmar Rex and Rookie
Magmar Rex (also written Magmarex) is a Break-role Aniimo with Fire typing. What sets it apart from a single-target breaker is its area-of-effect potential, which matters when a fight puts more than one enemy in front of you. It is not settled whether it also carries Dark, because Fire is sometimes paired with Dark in its description.
If you want a breaker that is definitely Dark, Rookie is a Dark-type breaker Aniimo. It fills that element's slot directly.
Earth: Minespine and Bouldus

Earth gives you a choice. Minespine is an Earth-element Aniimo with a breaker role, so it is the straightforward pick when you want a creature whose job is breaking.
Bouldus is an Earth support Aniimo that also works as a breaker. Pick it when you want one team slot to cover both jobs, so the rest of your team has room for damage.
Ice, Water and Grass: Geoclaw, Pan Panta and Tuckin

Geoclaw is a dedicated Ice-element breaker. Ice has no confusion to sort out: Geoclaw is the breaker.
Pan Panta (also written Panpanta) is a Water-element Aniimo that plays the breaker role. Its Prismana form gains Water Cannonade, a break-utility skill that applies five stacks of the Water debuff. How those stacks work is covered in this site's guide to Water combat mechanics. For this list, what matters is that Pan Panta is your Water breaker and its Prismana form adds more break utility.
Tuckin is a Grass-type break Aniimo. It is the break option for an Irisalis team, so if you are building around Irisalis, it is the Grass breaker to slot in.
Inferlupa and Tubster

Inferlupa is one of the best breakers in the game and works as a team's breaker. Its element is not covered here, but its standing as a breaker is clear. If you have it, it can take the breaker slot ahead of most of the options above.
Tubster comes at break from the other side. It is a defensive Aniimo that provides shields and still contributes to break. It does not replace a dedicated breaker, but on a team that needs protection it means your defensive slot still helps with break.
Where to start
Pick the breaker that matches your team's element: Blazen for Lightning, Magmar Rex for Fire, Rookie for Dark, Minespine or Bouldus for Earth, Geoclaw for Ice, Pan Panta for Water and Tuckin for Grass. If you have Inferlupa, it is among the best breakers in the game, whatever the rest of your team is.
