Spark Elf combat: fire damage buffs and team support
Inspiration adds 16%, the passive adds 15%, and stacked buffs push a team's Fire bonus to 70%. Here is what each piece does and the one place to get it.
The short version
- Spark Elf's core skill, Inspiration, raises the whole team's fire damage by 16%.
- Its passive trait adds another 15% fire damage for the party, so you get it without pressing anything.
- Spark Elf's buffs stack, and stacked they take the team's Fire damage bonus up to 70%.
- The ultimate buffs the team, but the boost goes to Fire-type members, so it is worth most in a team built around fire.
- Right now the only way to get Sparkelf is the Season 1 Sparkelf crossover event.
Spark Elf doesn't win fights by hitting hard itself. It makes the rest of your fire team hit harder. Almost everything in its kit is a buff: a core skill that raises team fire damage, a passive that adds more on top, a self-buff, and an ultimate that powers up your Fire-type members when it lands.
The reason to build around it is stacking. A single buff is a modest bump. Stack them and the team's Fire damage bonus climbs to 70%, which changes how fast a fire team clears.
This page covers what each buff does, how they add up, the team that gets the most out of them, and where to get Sparkelf. It ends with the Sparkies you meet out in the world, which behave differently.
What each Spark Elf buff does
Start with Inspiration, Spark Elf's core skill. It raises the team's fire damage by 16%. This is the buff you will be casting over and over, and it covers everyone, not just Spark Elf.
The passive trait adds 15% extra fire damage for the party. Passives are always on, so this one is free value: you get it just by having Spark Elf on the team, before you cast anything.
Spark Elf also has a self-buff among its skills. The team buffs are why you bring it, but its own damage isn't completely ignored either.
Stacking buffs toward a 70% Fire bonus
Spark Elf's buffs stack. Fully stacked, they take the team's Fire damage bonus up to 70%. That is the number to plan around, and it is far above anything a single cast gives you.
So don't think of Spark Elf as cast once and forget. You get the most from it by keeping the buffs going together rather than letting one drop while you set up the next. Fire debuff stacking from Infergon and Magmarex is a separate system with its own page. Here, all you need to know is that Spark Elf's part of that picture is the team buffs.

Building a fire team around it
The ultimate is where team composition matters most. It applies to the whole team, but the boost goes to Fire-type members when it lands. A Fire-type teammate gets the full benefit. A teammate of another type gets less out of the same cast.
That makes the building rule simple: the more Fire-type Aniimo you field next to Spark Elf, the more of its kit actually gets used. Inspiration and the passive both raise fire damage, and the ultimate targets Fire-type members, so every part of the kit points the same way. A mixed team wastes some of each.
How to get Sparkelf
Sparkelf comes from the Season 1 Sparkelf crossover event, and right now that is its only source. You won't find it as a normal capture somewhere else in the world. The event has its own page covering Fire Sparks, the Spirit Egg and the Sparkelves themselves, so go there for the steps.
Sparkies in the field: explosions and Forest Form Flamerion
Out in the world you meet Sparkies too, and they have their own trick. When a Sparki explodes, the blast damages other enemies around it. You can use that on purpose: draw a Sparki near a group and let it blow the rest of them up.
Forest Form Sparkies are also tied to a spawn. Forest Form Flamerion appears after 15 Forest Form Sparkies in the area. Whether those 15 have to be caught or defeated isn't settled yet. The location isn't settled either. Mistwood, Driftwise Meadow and Berryline Vale all come up, sometimes as competing answers for a single spot and sometimes as three separate places it can spawn. If you are hunting it, any of the three is a reasonable place to start counting Sparkies.

Where to start
Bring Spark Elf if your team is mostly Fire-type, and keep its buffs stacked rather than cast one at a time. On a mixed team it wastes much of what it does. Get it from the Season 1 crossover event while that event is running.
