What Perfect potential unlocks: evolution, trading, Inherit
Infergon refuses any Jawling or Helmwhelp below Perfect, and only Perfect Aniimo can be traded. Here is what the top grade gates and how to move investment onto one.

The short version
- Infergon can only be evolved from a Jawling or Helmwhelp with Perfect potential; Good or Elite quality is not enough.
- Potential carries through evolution, so check a creature's grade before you evolve it rather than after.
- Perfect-grade Aniimo are tradable, but R-mana type Aniimo cannot be gifted or traded at any grade.
- Inherit moves training, materials and awakening star levels from one Aniimo to a better copy of the same species, so an Elite you have built up is not wasted when a Perfect turns up.
- Any capture can come out Perfect, even from a standard cube, and Alpha Aniimo vary in quality, so they are worth farming.
Perfect is the highest quality tier and potential grade an Aniimo can have. For most of the roster it is simply the best version of a creature. For a few, it is the only version that goes anywhere.
That is the reason to care about Aniimo perfect stats. A Perfect grade unlocks certain evolutions outright, it is what makes a creature tradable, and it is the target the Inherit system is built around. This page covers each of those in turn, then where Perfect copies actually come from.
Infergon evolution needs a Perfect Jawling or Helmwhelp
Infergon is the clearest case. It can only be evolved from a Jawling or a Helmwhelp with a Perfect potential rating. Good or Elite quality is not enough. If your Helmwhelp is anything less than Perfect, it is not going to become Infergon, however much you feed it.
Emberpup evolution works the same way at the top end. A perfect Inferlupa requires a perfect Emberpup or Flameruff, and that Emberpup or Flameruff also needs regen and break as its top stats. So the grade alone is not the whole requirement here; the stat spread matters too.
The practical upshot: if you are after either of these forms, stop judging a Jawling, Helmwhelp, Emberpup or Flameruff by how well it fights today. Judge it by its grade.

The grade survives evolution, so check it first
An Aniimo's potential tier carries over when it evolves. A perfect or good-tier creature evolves into a perfect or good-tier form. A perfect Helmut becomes a perfect Pawney, and a perfect Helmwhelp becomes a perfect Infergon. The full Aniimo evolution system has its own guide on this site; the part that matters here is that evolving does not improve a grade.
That makes the order of operations important. Check quality before you evolve, not after. Evolving a mediocre copy gives you a mediocre evolved form, and the materials are spent either way.
Aniimo trading: Perfect copies can change hands
Only some Aniimo can be traded. Perfect-grade Aniimo are tradable, which gives a spare Perfect a use beyond sitting in your storage: it is something another player may want.
There is a hard exception. R-mana type Aniimo cannot be gifted or traded. Grade does not change that, so do not farm a Perfect R-mana creature expecting to pass it on.
Inherit: moving your investment onto a Perfect copy
The worry with chasing Perfect is obvious. You have already poured training into an Elite. Do you start over when a Perfect shows up?
No. Inherit transfers the training and materials invested in one Aniimo, awakening star levels included, to a better copy of the same species. The textbook case is exactly this one: an Elite you have built up, and a newly found Perfect of the same species. The investment moves across and the Perfect takes over.
This changes how you should play. You can train the best copy you have right now without treating it as a dead end, because the work is not lost when an upgrade arrives. The one condition is that the two must be the same species.
Where Perfect copies come from
Captured creatures can arrive in normal, elite or perfect condition. Even a standard cube has a random chance of producing perfect stats, so a Perfect is not locked behind special gear. Every catch is a roll.
Alpha Aniimo vary in quality when captured, which makes them worth farming for better stats. If one comes out average, that is a reason to go again, not to settle.
When you hand in a large catch, such as an Outbreak haul, Perfect is the appraisal grade worth keeping. Sort before you hand anything in.
Base potential matters too. Higher base or innate potential gives you a better starting point, so fewer upgrade resources are needed to reach Perfect. A strong starting copy is cheaper to finish than a weak one.
- NormalA standard condition a capture can arrive in.
- EliteA better copy, but not enough to evolve Infergon. Inherit can move its investment onto a Perfect.
- PerfectThe highest quality tier and potential grade. Even a standard cube has a random chance of producing it.
Where to start
Check grades before you evolve, and keep every Perfect from big catches like Outbreak hauls. If you want Infergon, farm a Perfect Jawling or Helmwhelp. For Inferlupa, farm a Perfect Emberpup or Flameruff with regen and break as its top stats. Keep training the best copy you have, then use Inherit to move that work across when a Perfect of the same species turns up.
