Guides › How break efficiency and breaker buffs work in Aniimo
What is the role of Break Aniimo?
Break-role Aniimo specialize in depleting posture and break meters, removing enemy defenses, and stunning targets.
Emptying an enemy poise bar staggers them and drops their defensive barriers.
Aniimo team compositions draw on five functional combat roles: damage, break, heal, support, and a fifth role listed across game menus as tank, regen, or debuff. While standard damage dealers focus directly on health pools, breakers spend their time draining break gauges and shattering shields. Forcing a target into a stun window gives your full team room to attack without fighting through barriers or active resistance.
Break Aniimo playstyles
Break Aniimo approach poise damage through distinct mechanics and elements. Blazen wields Lightning and Dark elements, while Blazen focuses specifically on dismantling enemy shields. Pan Panta provides Water-element breaking, Magmarex brings area-of-effect break tools, and the Ice-element breaker Geoclaw consistently applies [Ice Debuff] stacks to targets.
Several breakers tie their posture damage to specific skill usage. Budclaw increases its break efficiency through a tunneling playstyle. Inferlupa boosts its break efficiency by triggering repeated ricochets with its Unbroken Flameruff Spirit skill. Helion works as a hybrid melee Holy damage dealer and breaker, using a spinning Holy Storm attack that pulls targets into its center with a 150% break multiplier.
Defensive breakers and team break buffs
Breaking also links directly with defensive kits. Rookey pairs heavy break potential with damage reduction, counter mechanics, and defensive stat scaling. Tubster uses a defensive play style where its Victory Concerto trait grants a 40% break efficiency bonus whenever it has a shield active.
Support units can boost a breaker's output further. Turbo provides team-wide buffs that increase both standard damage and break efficiency. Luminelle's skill Spotlight Moment buffs Lightning-type teammates by improving their basic attack damage and raising their break efficiency.
Not settled: Luminelle's exact bonuses under Spotlight Moment remain unsettled in the game, listed as either 10% or 16% for break efficiency and either 17% or 27% for basic attack damage.
