Aniimo battle pass price: Advanced vs Collector's tiers

The Standard edition costs nothing and is open to every player.

The Advanced edition, sold as the Advanced Companion Handbook, is priced at about US$10. It is listed as both $9.99 and $10.00, and as €9.99 in Europe.

The Collector's edition is the higher paid tier. Expect to pay about $20, or £20. In Europe it is sold as a €23.99 pack. The exact figure is platform and storefront dependent, anywhere from $19.99 to €24.00, so check the price in your own store before you assume it matches a friend's.

The free Standard edition unlocks only the top track. The Advanced edition unlocks both the standard and advanced reward tracks, which is where the premium rewards live. Across the pass those rewards include cosmetics, items that help you along your journey, and a unique Aniimo form, all of which unlock gradually as you earn battle pass experience.

The Collector's edition is the Advanced edition plus a bundle on top. It adds an avatar frame, skins and cosmetics, an extra Sparkling Cube, a Rare Anipod, energy batteries and Glimmer. Most of that is cosmetic; the Sparkling Cube, Rare Anipod, batteries and Glimmer are the practical part.

Both paid tiers share one perk that matters early: buying either the Advanced edition or the Collector's edition instantly grants 10 levels of Companion Handbook progression. You do not have to grind the first stretch of the pass by hand.

The headline reward of the Advanced Companion Handbook is early access to the season's featured Prismana Aniimo. It comes as an exclusive Prismana egg awarded at level 10. The specific egg varies across seasons and versions, so the one you get depends on when you are playing.

What sits at level 10 on each track is not settled. The free Standard track is given as granting a Fulmintis egg, which is the only way for free-to-play players to get one, and it arrives sooner or later depending on how far you are in the story. The level 10 egg is also given as an Incredible Flamentus Egg, with the Advanced edition awarding a Prismana Flamentus egg instead.

This follows a pattern from the closed beta, where the paid Companion Handbook unlocked creature variants such as the Prismana form of Fulmintis. If you want the season's Prismana creature early, the Advanced edition is the tier that does it; the Collector's edition does not change the egg, it adds the bundle described above.

There was a $10 Advanced pre-order tier, and it unlocks access to the premium Battle Pass reward track. Pre-order packages grant supplementary rewards rather than access to the base game. Pre-order bundles and extended editions provide starting items and bonuses on top of that.

In practice that means the pre-order tier and the in-game Advanced edition point at the same thing: the premium reward track. Paying for a pre-order never bought you the game itself, and missing one does not lock you out of the pass.

On controller, hold Y or Triangle to open the shortcut wheel, then push the left stick up to open the Season 1 menu.

Before you spend, know this: the items and progression aids sold in the shop, paid bundles and battle passes included, are not exclusive to paid currency. They can be earned entirely through normal gameplay. Paying speeds things up and gets you the paid track rewards; it is not the only route to the progression items.

06Where to start

If you want one paid tier, take the Advanced Companion Handbook at about $10. It opens the premium track, skips you 10 levels and carries the season's Prismana egg. Only step up to the Collector's edition at about $20 if you want the avatar frame, skins and the extra Sparkling Cube, Rare Anipod, batteries and Glimmer. If you would rather not pay, the free track still has its own level 10 egg.
