Aniimo creature variants: rare and special forms
Prismana forms can change an Aniimo's element and sometimes give it two types. Dark forms like Darklers and Umbrabow come from one mode only: Egg Heist.

Aniimo has more than one kind of variant, and they don't all work the same way. Some only change how a creature looks. Some change how it fights. Some come from just one place in the game.
This guide covers the Aniimo Prismana forms first, because those change the most. After that it covers the variant categories that sit outside Prismana: weather-based forms, and the dark forms you get from Egg Heist.
What a Prismana form changes
Prismana Aniimo (also called Prisman Aniimo) are variant forms that look different from the standard creature. If that were all, they would be collectibles and nothing more.
They aren't, because a Prismana form can also change an Aniimo's elemental typing. Now and then the new form gets a dual typing. So a Prismana version isn't a recolour of a creature you already know. Its type matchups can differ from the standard form's, and you should judge it as a separate creature when you build a team.
In practice: a Prismana form isn't automatically better or worse than the standard one. Check what typing it actually has before you decide where it fits.
Weather forms and dark forms are their own categories
Prismana is not the only kind of variant. Aniimo can also have weather-based forms and other variations, and these are separate from Prismana variants. Don't assume a creature's weather form follows the same rules as its Prismana form. They are different categories.
Dark forms are the most restricted. Darklers and the Umbrabow form come only from Egg Heist, so there's no other route to them. If you want one, you have to play Egg Heist.
Egg Heist also gives you a fallback. The currency you earn there builds up over time, and you can trade it for an Umbrabow egg. Even runs that don't drop a dark form still count toward one.
Where to start
If you're after Darklers or Umbrabow, go straight to Egg Heist and save its currency for the Umbrabow egg. Whenever you get a Prismana form, check its typing before you slot it into a team, because it may not match the standard version.
