Aniimo Platforms, Release Schedule, and Server Guide
Aniimo runs on PC, PS5, Android and iOS, but not Switch. Learn which server to pick so friends can join you, and why playing solo still needs a connection.

Aniimo is a free-to-play open-world game about catching and collecting creatures, set in the world of Idyll. Its full release was scheduled for summer or Q3 2026, and it is out now on PC, PlayStation 5 and mobile.

Aniimo platforms: where you can play
Aniimo is playable on PC and on PlayStation 5. On mobile, the official downloads come through the Google Play Store and the iOS App Store, and that is also where the Android pre-download was distributed. Stick to those two stores for the mobile version.
Nintendo Switch owners are out of luck for now. Aniimo is not available on Switch at launch, and no Switch version has been announced.
On PC, one shortcut is worth learning early: F4 opens the daily challenges menu. Hardware needs for PC and mobile have their own guide on this site, so check there before you install.
Release schedule and what you pay
The full release was set for summer or Q3 2026, and that window has now arrived. The game is live, so everything below describes the version people are playing today.
Aniimo costs nothing to start. No supported platform asks for an upfront purchase or a pre-order pack, and the in-game purchases are optional. That makes it cheap to try on whichever device you already own.
What kind of game it is depends on who is describing it. It is listed both as an action role-playing game and as a survival game, and that label is not settled. The setting has a similar loose end: the world is Idyll, but the continent's name is given as Aedil, Idol, Aido and Idyll, with no single version fixed yet.
Aniimo servers: picking one and playing with friends
The server you choose matters more than it looks. Players who want to play together must all select the same server, so agree on one with your group before anyone creates a character.
If you get it wrong, the fix is not destructive. You can have characters on more than one server at the same time, and making a character on a second server does not delete the one on your original server. Always online, even solo
Aniimo needs a constant, active internet connection, and there is no offline mode. That applies to Aniimo Mobile as well. Playing alone does not change it, so a phone with a patchy signal on a commute is going to be a poor fit.
A connection problem of a different kind is a failed account link. If linking your Steam, PlayStation or Xbox account does not work, report it through the customer support page under Account Issues. Choose the category that matches your platform: Steam Relink for Steam, or PSN/Xbox for the consoles.
Where to start
Install from the right place: Steam or your PC launcher, the PlayStation 5, or the official Google Play or App Store listing. Settle on a server with your friends before you make a character, and play somewhere with a stable connection. If an account link fails, go to Account Issues on the support page and pick your platform's category.
