Aniimo is on three storefronts, takes a controller, and still has a full release date ahead of it. That combination is what most of the platform questions come down to, so this guide handles them in that order.
None of it is complicated once it is laid out. What trips people up is that the pre-order tiers differ by platform, and that pre-registration is a separate thing from buying the game.
Where Aniimo runs, and what is still scheduled
On PC, Aniimo is on Steam. On console, it is on Xbox, including Xbox Series X and S. On mobile, it is on the Apple App Store for iOS.
There is one more date on the calendar. A full release is scheduled for summer or Q3 2026. So the game you are playing is not the finished shape of it, and that is worth knowing before you decide how much long term planning to do around any one system.
Controllers, and the PlayStation packs
Aniimo supports controller input, and that support covers both PlayStation and Xbox controllers. If you already own one of those pads, it is the one you use. No third-party mapping layer, no hunting for a workaround.
PlayStation also has its own pre-order line. The PlayStation pre-order packs include an exclusive Fluffy Friend cosmetic, which is separate from what the other tiers carry.
Editions and pre-registration, in brief
Two pre-order tiers sit above the PlayStation packs. The Collector's Edition tier includes a cosmetic profile frame. The console Advanced Edition includes exclusive in-game accessories and the Advanced Companion Handbook standard battle pass tier, so what you get there is the standard tier of the pass rather than something stacked on top of it.
Pre-registration is a different thing entirely. It happens on the official website, and it is required to claim milestone rewards, which means skipping it costs you those rewards no matter what edition you bought. Reaching 20 million pre-registrations unlocks the Companion Promise limited avatar frame.
