Best Regen Aniimo: EP batteries for your team
Besauce suits any team. Leafy only feeds Grass teammates and Chirpi only refills its own family. Here's what each regen Aniimo gives back and which team it belongs on.
The short version
- Your whole team draws EP from one shared pool, so one Aniimo spamming skills leaves everyone else short. Basic attacks cost nothing.
- Besauce's restoration isn't tied to an element, so it fits any team. Its Charged Geyser costs zero EP below 20 EP and gives the team 1.5 EP per tick for 12 seconds.
- For recharging the whole team, Luminel's Lightning Surge restores 25.7% of allies' energy, and Eternal Lightwave raises EP recovery by 31% for all teammates.
- Leafy, Chirpi and Witchin only pay out under a condition. Leafy feeds Grass teammates inside its circle, Chirpi refills members of its own family, and Witchin gains extra EP against Cursed enemies.
- Somniwing is the battery for EP-hungry Grass, Irisalis and Egg Heist teams, and it also raises maximum AP.
Every combat ability in Aniimo costs energy points, and that energy doesn't belong to any one creature. It comes from a single pool the whole team shares. Spend it carelessly on one Aniimo and the rest of your roster has nothing left.
That's the job of the Regen role. These Aniimo put EP back into the pool, which speeds up recovery and cuts skill cooldowns. Some of them work on any team. Others only pay out under a condition: a matching element, a matching family, or a debuff on the enemy.
Below you'll find which Aniimo restore EP, how much they give back where the number is known, and which team each one suits.
How the shared EP pool works
You need energy points to activate a combat ability. Basic attacks cost none, so you always have something to do when the pool runs dry.
The catch is that the whole team shares the pool. If you fire every active skill the moment it's ready, the creature you swap in next has nothing to spend. Planning your skill rotations and swaps gets more out of the same energy than mashing whatever is off cooldown.
Regen Aniimo make that planning easier. Each one refills the pool, so your heavy hitters get their skills back sooner.
Besauce: the battery for any team

Besauce is built around generating resources. Its job is to restore EP and keep it topped up.
Its key skill is Charged Geyser. It costs zero EP, at least when you use it below 20 EP, so you can still cast it when the pool is nearly empty. It gives the team an EP regeneration buff lasting 12 seconds that restores 1.5 EP per tick.
What really sets Besauce apart is that its restoration isn't tied to an element. Plenty of regen kits only reward a matching team. Besauce doesn't care what you run it with, which makes it the safe pick when you haven't settled on a team yet.

Whole-team rechargers: Luminel, Eternal Lightwave, Somniwing and Livi

Luminel's kit recharges the team. Its Lightning Surge restores 25.7% of your allies' energy.
Eternal Lightwave supports EP differently. It doesn't hand back a lump of energy. It raises EP recovery by 31% for all teammates, which helps most when the rest of your team is already regenerating.
Somniwing is an EP regeneration support that works as a battery for EP-hungry teams. Its skills restore team EP and also raise maximum AP. It's the one to bring for Grass, Irisalis and Egg Heist teams in particular.
Livi is mostly useful for one thing: it has an EP restoration skill. If you want it on your team, that's the reason.

Conditional regen: Leafy, Chirpi, Witchin and Erlath

These Aniimo restore EP, but only when your team or the fight meets a condition. When it does, they're strong. When it doesn't, they give back little or nothing.
Leafy's Vitality Blooms creates a circle that regenerates energy and ultimate energy for Grass teammates standing inside it, at about 2.4 EP per second. That's a good rate, but it only reaches Grass allies, and only while they stay in the circle.
Chirpi's Band Member trait restores 20 EP to another member of the Chirpi family when it switches into combat. On a team without other Chirpi family members, the trait does nothing.
Witchin is a Dark-element energy Aniimo. Its Dark basic attacks restore EP, and they give extra when they hit enemies afflicted with [Curse]. Because basic attacks are free, Witchin refills the pool with attacks that cost nothing. It also fills the Regeneration support role, and it's the only healer among the six Junior Wayfarer Prismana options. If you're choosing from those six, Witchin is the pick that covers both healing and energy.
Erlath restores EP and creates water interactions at the same time, so it brings element play along with its energy.
Matching a battery to your team
Start with what your team is built around. If you run Grass, Leafy's circle and Somniwing both fit. Somniwing also suits Irisalis and Egg Heist teams. If your roster is built on the Chirpi family, Band Member gives back energy on every swap. If you can keep [Curse] on enemies, Witchin's basic attacks get more out of each hit.
If none of those describe your team, or you're still testing combinations, Besauce is the answer. Its restoration doesn't depend on element, and Charged Geyser stays free when the pool is low. Luminel and Eternal Lightwave also recharge or speed up recovery for every ally, whatever their element.
Where to start
If you're unsure, start with Besauce, since it works on any team. Switch to Leafy, Somniwing, Chirpi or Witchin once your team meets the condition that makes their EP pay out. Whichever battery you bring, plan your rotations, because they all draw on the same pool.
