Holo Battle Interlink offerings: which battle buff to pick
Crushing Momentum is the safe default. Breaking Force strips 80% of the Alpha's break bar before the fight starts. Primary Attacker is the solo pick.
The short version
- Only the party leader picks the Special Offering, and it applies to the whole party. In a matchmade group the leader is the first player in.
- Crushing Momentum is the recommended offering for the main boss, and it holds up in random matchmade groups and over the long term.
- Breaking Force starts the boss with 80% of its break bar already gone, so the Alpha breaks almost immediately and dies faster.
- Primary Attacker strongly buffs one designated attacker, which makes it the best choice for solo play and for coordinated teams built around one main carry.
- Resurgence is generally weak because you rarely need revives. Take it only when you are chasing a first clear, not maximum rewards.
Before every Holo Battle Interlink boss fight, your team picks a special offering. It is a battle buff that changes how the fight plays out, and since only one gets picked, the choice matters more than it seems.
Four offerings come up most: Breaking Force, Primary Attacker, Crushing Momentum and Resurgence. Each is built for a different kind of group. One works for random matchmaking, one for teams with a single big hitter, one for breaking the boss fast, and one for getting through a fight you keep losing.
This guide covers who makes the pick, what each offering does, and when each one is worth it.
Who picks the offering, and when
You choose team buffs before each Holo Battle Interlink battle, not partway through. In a four-player team, the team leader makes the choice.
In a matchmade group, the party leader is the first player in the group. That player selects the Special Offering and it applies to the whole party. If you join a random group late, you live with whatever the leader picked. If you are the leader, you are choosing for three other people too. That is why a dependable pick matters more than a clever one.
Crushing Momentum: the default pick
Crushing Momentum is the recommended Special Offering for the main boss. It is also the recommendation for random matchmade groups and for long-term use, which is a big part of its appeal. It does not depend on your teammates coordinating, and it does not depend on one player carrying.
If you lead a group of strangers and want a choice nobody will regret, take this one. Look at the other three when your group fits one of them clearly.
Breaking Force: the best break offering in Aniimo
Break in Aniimo is a bar on the boss. Deplete it and the boss is broken. The break bar has its own article on this site; what matters here is that Breaking Force skips most of the work.
With Breaking Force, the boss starts the fight with 80% of its break bar already depleted, so only 20% is left. In practice the Alpha breaks almost immediately once the fight begins, and an Alpha broken that early dies faster.
That makes Breaking Force the offering for groups who want the fight short and want their damage landing while the boss is broken, not spent chipping through its break bar first.

Primary Attacker: solo runs and one-carry teams
Primary Attacker works differently from the others. It does not spread its value across the party. It strongly buffs one designated attacker on the team.
That makes it the best battle buff for solo play. When you are the only attacker, a buff on one attacker is a buff on all of your damage. That includes solo Alpha Luminel runs aiming for maximum damage.
In a group, Primary Attacker suits coordinated teams built around one exceptionally powerful main carry. The catch is the word coordinated. In a random group where nobody has agreed who the carry is, the buff lands on one player and the rest of the party gets nothing from the offering. That is the gap Crushing Momentum fills.
Crushing Momentum
- Recommended Special Offering for the main boss
- Suits random matchmade groups
- Good for long term use
Primary Attacker
- Strongly buffs one designated attacker, not the whole party
- Best choice for solo play, including solo Alpha Luminel runs
- Suits coordinated teams built around one powerful carry
Resurgence and the other offerings
Resurgence is the revive battle buff, and it is generally weak because you rarely need revives. It earns its place in one situation: you are aiming for a first clear and not maximum rewards. If a boss keeps wiping your group and you just want it done once, a revive is insurance. Once you can clear reliably, swap to something that adds damage or speed.
Two other offerings are worth knowing. Unstoppable Momentum pays off when the boss is defeated within the first 60 seconds, and it applies a damage reduction later in the fight. Another offering starts the fight with a full bar of 300 ultimate points, so your ultimates are ready from the first second.
What else stacks on top of your offering
The offering is not the only thing changing an Interlink fight. Each floor has its own effects. The third floor's blessing, the Tubster Alpha's good effect, raises your energy (EP) cap by 15. Not every modifier helps you: one spawns a bomb seed every 45 seconds that explodes into a damaging zone.
Holo Battle Sim runs add rogue-lite elements on top, granting power-ups as the run goes on, such as Defense, Healing, Shield and Damage Reduction buffs.
Then there are season buffs. Accumulating star points unlocks a party-wide season buff, with a star buff unlocking at 48 stars, and season buffs and their progress carry over for the whole season. Star ranks and rewards are covered in their own article; the point here is that your offering is one layer among several, and the season layer stays with you between runs.
Where to start
Leading a random group? Take Crushing Momentum. Take Breaking Force when you want the Alpha broken at once and killed fast, and Primary Attacker when you are solo or your team is built around one carry. Save Resurgence for a boss you have not beaten yet.
