How to farm Prismana by nurturing blooms

A full bloom energy bar guarantees a Prismana Flow, and catching Aniimo gets you there faster than fighting them. Here is how to find a bloom and fill it.

The short version

  1. Blooms show on the map as a flower icon. Interacting with one for the first time turns it into a fast-travel point and reveals that part of the map.
  2. To start a nurture, select Infuse Energy on the map. It shows you which Bloom to visit and lets you teleport straight to it.
  3. Catching Aniimo builds prismatic energy in the bloom even if you have no Prismana Crystals. Catches also trigger Lucky Strikes more often than defeats do.
  4. Filling the bloom's energy bar guarantees a Prismana Flow. Turning in a partial bar only gives you a random chance of an early one.
  5. When a Prismana Aniimo spawns, a vertical beam of light shoots into the sky where it appeared.

Prismana Aniimo don't turn up on a normal walk through a region. You find them in the open world through Blooms, the flowering trees you nurture to charge an area's prismatic energy. Nurturing is the main way to generate a Prismana Flow, the weather event that lets Prismana Aniimo spawn. The nurture system is also how you attract and catch the Prismana that belong to each region.

The loop is simple. Find a bloom, start a nurture, fill its energy bar, and wait for the Flow. Where you can save time is in how you fill the bar. Catching beats fighting, and Lucky Strikes can skip most of the grind.

Finding blooms on the map

Blooms are marked on the map with a flower icon. The colour isn't settled: it shows up as a purple flower or as a dark blue tulip shape. Either way, look for a flower.

The first time you interact with a Bloom (a bloom fruit flower), it unlocks as a fast-travel warp point and reveals sections of the map around it. After that you can click it on the map to travel straight there. Blooms link vein network locations across the world, so each one you unlock makes the next trip shorter. Activating bloom branches or waypoints is also how you clear the fog of war, so unlocking blooms opens up the map as you go.

You can teleport directly to any bloom you've unlocked and to any location you've nurtured. Once you have a few, moving between nurtures costs you almost no walking.

Starting a nurture

Nurturing starts from the map. Select Infuse Energy and the game shows you which Bloom to visit, with the option to teleport straight to it.

At the bloom, you infuse energy into the bloom fruit flower. Nurturing a Bloom with Vein Essence fills its local prismatic energy, and once that is full a Prismana event triggers and spawns Prismana Aniimo. This is also described as cultivation, meaning you nurture regional branches or blooms with offerings of flowers. It isn't settled whether blooms are the main way to get Prismana Aniimo or only one of several, but nurturing is the main way to generate a Prismana Flow, so it's where you should spend your time.

Filling the energy bar: catch, don't fight

During a nurture you collect prismatic energy, then turn it in by interacting with the bloom tree to fill its energy bar. The bar is what you're working towards. A full bar guarantees a Prismana Flow. Turning in a partial bar can cause an early spawn, but only as a random chance.

Catching Aniimo is the efficient way to fill it. Every capture builds prismatic energy in the bloom, Lucky Strike catches included, and you don't need Prismana Crystals for this. Catching also triggers Lucky Strikes more often than defeating Aniimo does, and that lets you skip much of the nurturing process.

Lucky Strikes are what make catching worth it. A Lucky Strike or Super Lucky Strike raises the local region's Prismana energy and advances bloom progress. A Lucky Strike during a capture or a nurture gives you extra Prismatic Energy, and it can fill the Prismana Flow to maximum in one go, skipping the grind.

There's a slower, steadier route as well. Nurturing Aniimo builds up regional care points, and gathering approximately 10,000 of them guarantees a Prismana Flow.

Nurturing Aniimo builds regional care points, and gathering approximately 10,000 of them guarantees a Prismana Flow instead of leaving it to chance.

Releasing the bloom and raising the region

A filled bloom isn't finished until you release it. Nurture a bloom with energy, then release it once it is full, and it expels prismatic energy that substantially raises the Prismatic Energy State of that area. When a Bloom's nurture timer runs out, you release prismatic energy at the Bloom, and that raises the biome's level as normal.

Every bloom you nurture cultivates its area and raises that region's Prismatic Energy, so working through all of a region's blooms has a cumulative effect. You don't have to do it alone, either. Nurturing and joining another player's bloom shares regional prismatic energy and raises it.

How a Prismana Aniimo spawns

A Prismana Flow is a weather event, and while it is active Prismana Aniimo can spawn. What exactly triggers the Flow isn't settled. It is tied to prismatic vein energy, either as that energy builds up or as a fixed chance on every gain in it. It is also given as a flat base chance of about 3% on each nurture attempt, catch attempt or bloom release, whatever the regional energy level. Separately, a Lucky Strike catch has a 0.6% chance to trigger a Flow immediately. In practice all of these point the same way: keep catching, keep nurturing, keep releasing, and every action is another chance.

How a bloom produces a region's Prismana Aniimo is also not settled. It happens either as an immediate spawn once the bloom reaches the abundant stage, or as a chance when the energy built up by nurturing (which uses up crystals) is released after you finish bloom events, with a spawn guaranteed eventually.

You'll know when it happens. A Prismana Aniimo's spawn point sends a vertical beam of light into the sky. Head for the beam.

Where to start

Unlock every bloom you pass so you can teleport between them. Start each nurture from Infuse Energy on the map, and fill the bar by catching rather than fighting so you get more Lucky Strikes. Don't turn in a half-full bar and hope. A full bar guarantees the Flow. When it comes, look for the beam of light.
