Leafy: Alpha capture, Mistwoods spawn and support kit
Alpha Leafy is the form to catch, and you beat its Mistwoods boss first. Its circle feeds Grass teammates 2.4 EP a second; Lotus Bloom adds 15% Grass damage.

The short version
- Alpha Leafy is the version worth capturing, and you find it in the Mistwoods.
- You can't just throw at Alpha Leafy. You find its boss in the wild, defeat it in battle, and then capture it.
- Leafy is a Grass support built around regeneration and healing, and it works best with other Grass Aniimo.
- Vitality Blooms is a circle that regenerates energy and ultimate energy for Grass teammates standing in it, at about 2.4 EP per second.
- Lotus Bloom, Leafy's ultimate, gives the team a 15% Grass elemental damage boost. Its trait puts turf under teammates' feet while Leafy is off the field.
Leafy is a Grass boss Aniimo, and the one you want is the Alpha. Alpha Leafy is the form worth capturing, so if you search "alpha leafy aniimo" and land in the Mistwoods, you are in the right place.
This page covers where Alpha Leafy turns up, what the fight asks of you, and what Leafy does for a team once it is yours. In short, it is a support that keeps Grass teammates topped up on energy and then makes their hits land harder.
Where to find Alpha Leafy
Go to the Mistwoods to catch Leafy. The Alpha is the form to aim for, so don't spend your time on anything else there.
Catching an Alpha works differently from an ordinary capture. First you find Leafy's boss in the wild. Then you defeat it in battle, and only after that can you capture it. Bring a team that can win the fight, because the catch comes after the win and not before it.
Alpha bosses all follow this same routine, and the site's guide to finding every Alpha boss walks through it in full. For Leafy, the short version is: Mistwoods, beat the boss, then catch it.

Vitality Blooms and the turf trait
Leafy is a support, and its whole job is regeneration and healing. Vitality Blooms is the main tool for that. It lays down a circle, and any Grass teammate standing inside it regenerates both energy and ultimate energy, at about 2.4 EP per second.
The catch is the word Grass. The circle feeds Grass teammates, so Leafy is at its best on a team built around that element. On a mixed team you lose much of the value.
The trait matters even when Leafy isn't on the field. While it is swapped out, it places patches of turf beneath your teammates' feet. So benching Leafy doesn't switch it off, and it keeps working while someone else does the fighting.
Lotus Bloom and where Leafy fits on a team
Leafy's ultimate is Lotus Bloom, and it gives the whole team a 15% Grass elemental damage boost. That ties the kit together. Vitality Blooms builds ultimate energy for your Grass teammates, and Lotus Bloom makes their Grass damage hit harder once they spend it.
All of this points the same way: Leafy belongs on a Grass team. It doesn't hit hard itself. It keeps the energy flowing and adds damage to everyone else. How Leafy pairs with Irisalis and Melobloom is covered in the site's Grass team guide. This page only needs to say that Leafy is a support for that kind of team.

Where to start
Go to the Mistwoods, beat Leafy's Alpha boss, and catch it after the fight. Put it on a Grass team. Keep your Grass attackers inside Vitality Blooms, and save Lotus Bloom for when they are ready to deal damage.
