Lightning Combat Guide: Fulmintis, Fenmane and Luminelle
Fulmintis wants critical hits, Fenmane wants stacks, and Luminelle makes a skill free. Here is how the three of them fit together, and what to press in what order.
The short version
- Lightning Blade Storm ends in a Spinning Slash worth 26 Might damage, and every three consecutive hits you land during it increases that slash's damage by 100%.
- Fulmintis restores 4 EP when one of its skills lands a critical hit, so crit is a resource stat as much as a damage stat.
- Paralysis has two named sources on Fulmintis: the ultimate, which hits a straight line, and Lightning Blade Impact, which paralyzes on critical hits.
- Fenmane needs 30 Thunder Bound stacks from lightning attacks to reach Thunder Wing stance, which adds arrows and an extra explosion to its ultimate.
- Luminelle's passive talent grants buffed allies 25% increased lightning damage.
Electric is an element in Aniimo, and these three are the ones people build around. Fulmintis serves as a DPS role. Fenmane functions as a ranged attacker. Luminelle is an Electric-type Support Aniimo, alongside Dazmand and Besauce.
What makes the group work is that all three run on counters rather than plain cooldowns. Fulmintis turns critical hits back into EP. Fenmane turns lightning hits into stacks. Luminelle hands an ally a skill that costs no EP at all. Play them together and you are tracking three things at once.
Evolution and full build orders are a separate subject. This page is about rotations: what each button actually does, when to hold it, and what the game pays you for getting the order right.
Fulmintis skills: Lightning Rush into Lightning Blade Storm

Fulmintis concentrates its damage in one move rather than spreading it evenly. That move is Lightning Blade Storm. It runs until its Energy is depleted, or until you press the skill button again, and either way it finishes with a Spinning Slash dealing 26 Might damage.
The 26 is not the number to plan around. Every three consecutive hits landed during Lightning Blade Storm increases the final spinning slash's damage by 100%. Consecutive is the word doing the work. A target that walks out of range partway through does not just cost you the hits it denied you, it costs you the group you were partway through building.
The Q skill, Lightning Rush, is the setup. It dashes in to the target and delivers a barrage of consecutive slashes, ending in a Spinning Slash of its own. Lead with it and Lightning Blade Storm opens with the target already in front of you, which is the whole point when your payoff depends on landing hits without a gap.

Critical hits pay for themselves
Fulmintis's passive restores 4 EP when one of its skills lands a critical hit. That is the quiet reason crit rate is worth more on Fulmintis than the damage number alone suggests. A build that crits often is not only hitting harder, it is refunding itself EP while it does it, which means you get back to the next skill sooner.
Cloak is the other tool in the kit. It lets Fulmintis enter a cloaked state and turn invisible. Combined with Lightning Rush, that gives you a way to arrive on your own terms rather than walking into the fight from wherever you happened to be standing.

Where paralysis comes from
Fulmintis's abilities can inflict paralysis, and two of them are specific about how.
The ultimate deals damage to targets in a straight line and paralyzes them. That makes it an aiming skill before it is a damage skill. Wait until a group lines up and you lock all of them at once; fire it at the first thing you see and you have spent it on one target.
Lightning Blade Impact paralyzes targets on critical hits. Note what that shares with the passive: both trigger off crit. So on Fulmintis a critical hit is doing three separate jobs at the same time, adding damage, returning EP, and locking the target down. Build for it and the kit tightens up everywhere at once.
Fenmane: 30 stacks to Thunder Wing

Fenmane builds toward a state rather than waiting on a timer. Lightning attacks accumulate Thunder Bound stacks, and Fenmane enters its Thunder Wing stance upon reaching 30 of them.
That stance is worth waiting for. Thunderwing Stance causes the ultimate to fire additional arrows and deal an extra explosion of damage. So hold the ultimate. Firing it before the stance is up spends your biggest button on the smaller version of itself, and you then have to build the stacks again anyway.
Thunder Imprint is the other thing to track. It stores the damage of each hit on the target and releases it when the effect ends. If the target holds 10 stacks of Lightning Debuff at that moment, the stacks are consumed to deal additional damage. The condition is checked at the release, not while the imprint is running, so what you want is the debuff stacked up as the effect expires rather than early.

What Luminelle adds to the team

Luminelle's passive talent grants buffed allies 25% increased lightning damage. That is a direct multiplier on what Fulmintis and Fenmane already do, which is why Luminelle belongs behind these two specifically rather than in any team that has room.
The other half of Luminelle's contribution is an ally buff that makes a skill cost zero EP. Its name is not settled. You will find it called Spotlight Moment and you will find it called Lightning Surge, and Spotlight Moment is also attached to a passive trait that makes an Aniimo's first skill after entering battle cost no EP. Learn the effect rather than the label, because the effect is consistent and the naming is not.
Either way, a free skill is worth the most on the character with the most expensive opener. On Fulmintis that is Lightning Blade Storm, and a free cast of it early means the EP you would have spent is still there for the rest of the fight.
Where to start
Build Fulmintis for critical hits and the rest follows: more damage, more EP back, more paralysis from Lightning Blade Impact. Build Fenmane for stack generation and sit on the ultimate until Thunder Wing is up. Put Luminelle behind both. If you take one habit away from this page, make it counting your hits in threes during Lightning Blade Storm.
