Rare egg sources: Elite, Umbral and Sparkling eggs
Elite eggs guarantee Elite potential or better, and an RV trip egg follows the Aniimo you sent. Here is where each rare egg comes from in Aniimo.
The short version
- Incredible Eggs, also called Elite Eggs, always hatch an Aniimo with Elite potential or higher, and you can find them in places such as Beast Fang Ridge.
- Umbral eggs hatch Umbral Aniimo, but whether those always have perfect potential is not settled.
- The weekly Holo Battle Interlink gives a random mysterious egg at 49 stars, and Wonder Eggs (rainbow eggs) sit along its star and season score track.
- The Windborn stamp shop sells sparkling eggs in its seasonal section.
- An RV trip egg hatches into the same family as the Aniimo you sent, so pick the traveller for the egg you want. Starters and Somniwing cannot bring eggs back, but Sparkelf can.
Most eggs you pick up in Aniimo are filler. A few are worth planning around: Elite eggs, Umbral eggs, Sparkling eggs, and the eggs that come back from RV trips. They don't all come from the same place, and they don't all promise the same thing.
This guide covers what each rare egg actually guarantees when you hatch it, then where to get one: Holo Battle Interlink, the Windborn stamp shop, chests out in the world, and RV trips.
What Elite, Umbral and Sparkling eggs guarantee
The Elite egg makes the clearest promise. Its full name is the Incredible Egg, and it is also called an Elite Egg. Whatever hatches from it has Elite potential or higher. That is a floor, not a ceiling, so you never get anything below Elite from one. You can find them out in the world, in places such as Beast Fang Ridge. How the grades themselves work is covered in our guide to potential grades.
Umbral eggs hatch into Umbral Aniimo. The catch is the potential. Whether Umbral Aniimo always have perfect potential is not settled. Umbral Aniimo are described as guaranteed perfect base stats, wild ones included, whatever their level, form or capture device. They are also described as able to spawn with normal, elite or perfect grades. Until that is settled, treat an Umbral egg as a guaranteed Umbral and not a guaranteed perfect. A Prismana form is in the same position: it is not guaranteed to be perfect rarity either.
Sparkling eggs are about the Sparkling Aniimo, not about potential. Sparkling Aniimo turn up in the wild, and you can also get them by hatching eggs, including rare eggs found in the wild. Nothing guarantees that a Sparkling hatch is also perfect, so judge its grade separately once it hatches.
- NormalA grade Umbral Aniimo can spawn with.
- EliteThe minimum an Incredible Egg, also called an Elite Egg, guarantees.
- PerfectWhether Umbral Aniimo always reach it is unsettled.
Holo Battle Interlink eggs
The weekly Holo Battle Interlink is a reliable egg source if you put the stars in. Its egg reward is a random mysterious egg, and you reach it at 49 stars. Along the star and season score track you also earn Wonder Eggs, the rainbow eggs.
Routes, star ranks and the full reward list have their own article: Holo Battle Interlink: Routes, Star Ranks and Rewards. For egg hunting, all you need to know is that the egg rewards sit on the star track. If you stop short of the egg threshold in a given week, that week's egg is gone.

The Windborn shop, chests and the open world
If you want sparkling eggs specifically, check the Windborn stamp shop. It sells them in its seasonal section, which makes it the one place on this list where you buy a rare egg instead of hoping one drops.
The rest comes from open-world exploration. Eggs can turn up as you explore, including inside chests, so opening chests you pass is worth the few seconds. Rare eggs found this way can hatch Sparkling Aniimo, and exploration is also how you come across Elite Eggs in places like Beast Fang Ridge.
RV trip eggs and which Aniimo to send
RV trips are the one egg source you can steer. An egg brought back from a trip is tied to the Aniimo you sent. It hatches into a member of the same family, and likely the same species. So the Aniimo you send decides the egg you get. Send something you want more of.
Not every Aniimo can bring eggs back. Starter Aniimo cannot, and neither can Somniwing. Sparkelf can be sent out to gather eggs.
This is also how players farm specific Aniimo. Fulmintis can come from eggs, and farming RV trips is one way to get them. If a target is in the family of something you already own and can send, repeated trips are the steady route.
Where to start
If you want a guaranteed grade, go for Elite Eggs: Elite potential or better every time. For Sparkling eggs, check the Windborn stamp shop's seasonal section. Hit 49 stars in Holo Battle Interlink each week for the mysterious egg. Use RV trips when you want more of a specific family, and don't send a starter or Somniwing. Don't count on an Umbral egg giving you a perfect Aniimo until that question is settled.
