Somniwing: how to get it, regen build and skills
Somniwing can't be caught in the wild. It's the free reward for 180 Elite Training points, and after that it only needs one stat: regen.

The short version
- Somniwing cannot be caught in the wild. It is free from Elite Training in the menu, as the reward for reaching 180 Elite Training points.
- Its skills scale with energy regeneration, so regen is the only stat it needs. Put its capability points into regen.
- Eternal Lightwave increases EP recovery by 31% for all teammates, its trait adds 10 to the party's maximum EP, and its ultimate recovers 50 EP.
- Apply its regen early, before the fight starts or before you switch to your main damage dealer.
- In Holo Battle Interlink only the main Aniimo can use its ultimate, so Somniwing in an assist slot loses its 50 EP refill.
Somniwing is an EP regeneration support. Its job is to be an energy battery for teams that burn through EP quickly, and Grass, Irisalis and Egg Heist teams are the obvious homes for it. It is a Grass-type Aniimo, also listed with Wind as a second type.
You can't find it out in the world, which is why so many players go looking for it and come up empty. The good news is that it costs nothing, and the build is about as simple as builds get.

How to get Somniwing
Somniwing cannot be caught in the wild. You get it free through Elite Training, which you open from the menu. It is the reward for reaching 180 Elite Training points, so if you have been searching the map for one, stop. The only route is to keep earning Elite Training points until you hit that mark.
It also pays off away from combat. Somniwing is a strong Homeland Leisure worker with three tier-four Homeland perks, so even before you build it for battle it has a job waiting at home.

Somniwing's skills: Lightwave, Hypnotic Spores and the ultimate
Almost everything in Somniwing's kit is about EP. Its skills restore team EP and increase maximum AP. Eternal Lightwave is the centrepiece: it increases EP recovery by 31% for all teammates. Its Light Wave skill restores EP to the team, and its Ethereal Light skill value caps at 36%. Put together, it raises the EP recovery of whichever Aniimo you have active.
The trait works passively. While Somniwing is in the party, the party's maximum EP goes up by 10. You don't have to do anything to get it beyond keeping Somniwing on the team.
The ultimate restores EP, recovering 50 EP. That makes it the button to press when a rotation runs dry halfway through, because it refills energy mid-rotation rather than waiting on passive recovery.
The one piece of the kit that isn't about energy is Hypnotic Spores. It puts enemy Aniimo to sleep and can affect more than one target, which buys you room while the rest of your team spends the EP Somniwing feeds them.

What regen does, and why it is Somniwing's only stat
Regen is energy regeneration: how quickly EP comes back. Somniwing's skills scale with it, which is why the build is so short. Regen is the only stat it needs invested.
Build it for maximum regen and put its capability points into regen. Anything you spend elsewhere is something its kit doesn't use. The more regen it has, the more its EP support is worth to everyone else on the team.
Using Somniwing in a team
Timing matters more than anything else here. Apply Somniwing's regen early, either before the fight starts or before you switch to your main damage dealer. The buff is there to make your damage dealer's EP go further, so it should already be running when that Aniimo comes in.
Somniwing can be slotted into almost any team. It earns its spot most clearly where EP runs short. In Irisalis teams it handles resource management through Eternal Lightwave, and Grass and Egg Heist teams lean on it the same way. If you are choosing between it and the other EP regen supports, Besauce and Leafy, this site's guide to the best EP regen supports compares all three.
One mode changes the picture. In Holo Battle Interlink, only the main Aniimo's ultimate can be used. Assist slots such as Somniwing cannot use theirs, so in that mode you lose the 50 EP refill and are left with the rest of its kit.
Where to start
Get Somniwing from Elite Training once you reach 180 points. Put every capability point into regen, and apply its buff before your main damage dealer comes in. Save the ultimate for when a rotation runs out of EP, but don't plan around it in Holo Battle Interlink, because an assist slot can't use it there.
