Vein Essence, Sparkling Crystals and event currencies

Where Vein Essence comes from, what Sparkling Crystals buy at the Outpost Vendor, why Lightweave Tickets cost 38 Lumin Crystals, and which prices still aren't settled.

The short version

  1. Each Aniimo Discovery event gives you three free searches a day, and every search after that costs one Vein Essence.
  2. Vein Essence comes from gathering, Elite Training, catch milestones, Nurture Branches, Holo Battle Interlinks, the battle pass, the stamp shop and Lumin Amber deliveries to the Branch.
  3. Sparkling Crystals craft or buy Sparkling Cubes, which guarantee shiny Prismana captures, and a Super Lucky capture pays around 50 to 60 of them.
  4. Event currency mostly comes from festival dailies, and you get 10 Bloom crystals guaranteed every week.
  5. Lightweave Tickets pay for limited appearance draws, and one pull costs 38 Lumin Crystals, the premium currency.

Aniimo has a lot of currencies, and most of them do one narrow job. Vein Essence pays for extra searches. Sparkling Crystals turn into shiny catches. Petals and Bloom crystals belong to events, and Lightweave Tickets buy cosmetics. If you learn which one feeds which system, you stop hoarding the wrong thing.

This guide goes through them in order of how much they shape your week: Vein Essence first, then Sparkling Crystals, then the event currencies, then the everyday resources underneath everything else. A few of the numbers here are not settled in the current game. Where that's true, we say so and give every figure that has been attached to it.

Vein Essence: extra searches and where to earn them

The main use of Vein Essence you'll run into is the Aniimo Discovery event, the search for Dazmin being one example. Each day you get three free search attempts. After those, every extra search costs one Vein Essence. That makes it the currency that decides how hard you can push a discovery event past its daily allowance.

It may also matter for limited-time Prismana Aniimo, but that isn't settled. They are described both as catchable without spending any Vein Essence and as obtained with it, with your supply capping how many you can get. The Prismana farming guide covers how those creatures work. Here, it's enough to know that Vein Essence might be the limit.

Vein Essence comes from a long list of places, so you collect it without trying: open-world gathering, Elite Training, catch milestones, Nurture Branches, Holo Battle Interlinks, the battle pass, the stamp shop, and delivering Lumin Amber to the Branch. The Mysterious Vendor in Astra sells it now and then, but its price isn't settled either. A pair has been priced at both 210,000 and 420,000 credits, so check the tag before you assume it's a bargain.

Once the three free daily attempts are used, each additional search costs one Vein Essence.

Sparkling Crystals and shiny Prismana

If you've searched for sparkling Aniimo, this is the currency you want. Sparkling Crystals are the material used to craft or buy Sparkling Cubes, and a Sparkling Cube guarantees the capture of a shiny Prismana Aniimo. The difference between sparkling and Prismana is just this: Prismana is the creature, and Sparkling Crystals are how you make sure you catch the shiny version.

The best single source is a Super Lucky capture, which pays out a large haul of materials that includes around 50 to 60 Sparkling Crystals.

You spend them at the Outpost Vendor, and the exchange rate there is not settled. One Sparkling Anipod has been priced at both 1,000 and 100 Sparkling Crystals. One Sparkling Cube has been priced at 1,000, at 100 and at 5. Look at the vendor yourself before you plan around any of those numbers.

Event currencies: Bloom crystals, Petals and Lightweave Tickets

Event currency mostly comes from festival dailies, meaning the daily orders and daily event missions. If you skip a day, you lose that day's income, and you can't get it back later in a single session.

Some of it comes regardless. You get 10 Bloom crystals guaranteed every week. Petals come from tasks: a set of weekly rotation tasks plus a permanent task subsection. Petal income is gated by the weekly reset, so the most you can earn is whatever a week's tasks pay.

Lightweave Tickets work differently. They pay for Lightweave draws, which give limited-edition appearances in the Forest of the Butterfly Dreams event. One Lightweave pull, or one ticket, costs 38 Lumin Crystals, the game's premium currency. That makes this the one event currency here that ties directly to premium spending, and the draws give appearances, not creatures.

Everyday resources: Primagy, Star Essence and Wood

Primagy is the energy currency, Aniimo's version of stamina. Activities use it up, so it's the thing that ends a play session. Plan your heavier activities around it.

What Star Essence is for isn't settled. It's described both as something consumed to level up an Aniimo and as the material for capability awakening, where it raises potential. On the awakening side, you need it to push Awaken Potential past 10 points toward the cap of 20. Either way, it's a progression resource, so don't spend it on a whim.

Wood comes from open-world gathering, along with the story, events and achievements. Gathering also produces Vein Essence, so one trip through the open world fills both. On top of all this, the game gives you five daily activity tasks, which are the steady base the rest of your income sits on.

Where to start

Do the festival dailies and the five daily tasks every day, and spend Primagy before it caps. Save Vein Essence for discovery searches beyond the free three. Put Sparkling Crystals toward Sparkling Cubes, but check the Outpost Vendor's real prices first, because they aren't settled. Lightweave Tickets only buy cosmetics, and they cost premium currency.
