Where to get Tumbler Pods: shops, prices and free sources
Outpost Guardian Joff charges 200,000 gold coins per Tumbler. The Mysterious Vendor sells five for 80,000. Here is where else they come from free.
The short version
- Tumbler Pods catch several Aniimo at once in an area of effect, which makes them the item for wild surges.
- Outpost Guardian Joff sells Tumblers in his trade shop for 200,000 gold coins each.
- When the Mysterious Vendor has them, five Tumblers cost 80,000 currency, which is cheaper than Joff.
- Tumblers also come free from the battle pass, quests, exploration, chests, training and the Who's That Aniimo event.
- Tumblers are a Lightweave result too, at a 3.38% rate in the Forest of Butterfly Dreams draw.
Tumbler Aniipods go by a few names: Tumbler Pods, or just Tumblers. Unlike a standard pod, a Tumbler catches multiple Aniimo at once in an area of effect. That is why players save them for wild surges, where a crowd of targets is the whole point.
You can get them three ways: buy them from a vendor, earn them through normal play, or pull them from Lightweave. Price is what separates the options. The same item costs very different amounts depending on who sells it, so check the cheap sources before you pay full price.
Buying Tumblers from Outpost Guardian Joff
Joff is the dependable seller. You may also see his name written as Joph or Jeff. He is an outpost vendor, and Tumblers are part of the stock in his trade shop.
The catch is the price: 200,000 gold coins for each Tumbler. Joff is always there when you need one, but you pay heavily for that. Treat him as the fallback, not your first stop.
The Mysterious Vendor sells them cheaper
The Mysterious Vendor sometimes sells Tumbler Pods, and when it does, the deal beats Joff's. Five Tumblers cost 80,000 currency. The word that matters is sometimes. Tumblers turn up only occasionally, so you cannot plan around them. If you see them, buy them.
The price depends on which vendor you find. Tumblers can be bought with stamps, and the Astra mysterious vendor charges 400,000 credits for them. Read the currency and the quantity before you buy, because two offers that look alike can cost very different amounts. How the Mysterious Vendor's stock rotates is covered in our Mysterious Vendor and Curio Corner guide.

Free Tumblers, events and Lightweave draws
You don't have to pay for every Tumbler. They drop as rewards from the battle pass, quests, exploration, chests and training. Most players pick up a steady trickle just by playing, so check what you are holding before you spend gold coins.
Events are worth finishing too. Completing the Who's That Aniimo event awards a Tumbler.
You can also pull them from Lightweave. Tumblers are a possible result in the Forest of Butterfly Dreams draw, at a 3.38% rate. At that rate a draw won't reliably give you one. Count any Tumbler you get there as a bonus, not a supply.

Where to start
Collect the free Tumblers from quests, chests, exploration, training, the battle pass and the Who's That Aniimo event first. Whenever the Mysterious Vendor lists five for 80,000, buy them. Pay Joff's 200,000 gold coins each only when a wild surge is coming and you have none left.
