Lumin Amber milestones: what 30, 60, 120 and 150 unlock
Thirty Lumin Amber buys more Nurture attempts and 60 opens weather control. At 120 you reach hidden caves and secret Alpha bosses, and 150 ends stamina costs.
The short version
- 30 Lumin Amber in a regional branch unlocks a node that adds 10 daily Nurture attempts.
- 60 Lumin Amber is the cost of changing the weather, which is how you summon Prismanas, though the exact unlock condition for weather control is not settled.
- 120 Lumin Amber in the Breezy Plains branch unlocks Earthwake Revelation, opening hidden caves and the path to secret Alpha bosses such as the Alpha Geoclaw.
- 150 Lumin Amber removes stamina consumption for walking, flying and jumping in a region, and a maxed branch gives unlimited stamina outside combat.
- Every Branch Nurture level of the main branch also awards three Irisalis Petals, so spending Lumin Amber pays out twice.
Lumin Amber is the currency of a region's Branch. You deposit it, the Branch levels up, and at set totals it unlocks something that changes how you play that region. The four totals worth knowing are 30, 60, 120 and 150.
They are not equal. The first two are about creatures: more Nurture attempts, then control over the weather. The last two are about the map and getting around it: hidden caves, secret Alpha fights, and finally no stamina cost at all.
Some of the unlock conditions around these milestones are not settled, and where that is the case this page says so rather than picking one.
- 30 Lumin AmberUnlocks an upgrade node that adds 10 daily Nurture attempts.
- 60 Lumin AmberUnlocks changing the weather and summoning Prismanas. Its exact requirement is unsettled: 60 Lumin Amber or the silver regional badge.
- 120 Lumin AmberUnlocks Earthwake Revelation, which opens hidden caves and the path to secret Alpha bosses such as the Alpha Geoclaw.
- 150 Lumin AmberRemoves stamina cost for walking, flying and jumping in the region.
30 Lumin Amber: more Nurture attempts
Depositing 30 Lumin Amber into the regional branch unlocks an upgrade node that raises your daily Nurture capacity by 10 attempts. Nurture is the Branch mechanic that increases your chance of meeting Sparkling (shiny) Aniimo, so more attempts per day means more rolls at a shiny.
What unlocks Nurture itself is not settled. It is given both as collecting 30 Lumin Ambers and as earning the region's bronze collection badge, which you get for reaching 40% area catch completion. That badge also unlocks the region's branch feature and is needed to use Nurture in that region. Nurture has its own guide on this site; for this page, the point is that 30 is the first milestone where Lumin Amber starts paying you back in creatures.
60 Lumin Amber: weather control and Prismanas
Changing the weather is locked behind a deposit of Lumin Amber, and the amount needed is 60. Weather alteration lets you change the local weather and summon Prismanas, which makes it the milestone that turns the Branch from a convenience into a hunting tool.
The catch is that the full condition is not settled. Weather control is given as unlocking from submitting 60 Amber pieces in that area, from earning that area's silver badge, and from reaching silver regional completion at 70%. In Breezy Plains it is also given as reaching branch level 60 with 60 Lumin Amber in the branch. A further version ties it to activating blooms and upgrading a region's bloom branch on the map, which also fills out the Nurture menu, with Prismana weather control arriving at 60 percent completion of the bloom graph.
The practical reading: plan on having 60 Lumin Amber in the branch, and expect your catch completion in the region to matter as well.
120 Lumin Amber: hidden caves and secret Alpha Aniimo
Infusing 120 Lumin Amber into the Breezy Plains branch unlocks Earthwake Revelation, which opens caves that were hidden until then. Upgrading the Branch is one of the ways the game gives you access to new areas, and this is the clearest example of it.
The same 120 total opens the path to the secret Alpha boss locations, such as the Alpha Geoclaw. If you are hunting Alpha Aniimo, this is the milestone you are saving for. The earlier ones help you catch more; this one decides whether some Alphas are reachable at all.
150 Lumin Amber: unlimited stamina and flight
Stamina is where Lumin Amber works quietly the whole way up. Collecting Lumin Ambers raises your maximum stamina, and upgrading regional branches with it improves both maximum stamina and stamina efficiency.
At 150 Lumin Amber, a region's upgrades remove stamina consumption for walking, flying and jumping. Fully upgrading the Breezy Plains branch removes all stamina cost when moving through the region. Maxing out the Branch gives you unlimited stamina outside combat, and that includes flight mode. Combat is the exception, so this is a traversal upgrade, not a fighting one.
True flight is also unlocked with Lumin Amber, which is one more reason to keep depositing rather than stopping once the creature milestones are done.
The side payout: Irisalis Petals
Lumin Amber does not only buy the milestone you are aiming at. Infusing it in Branch Nurturing awards three Irisalis Petals for each Branch Nurture level of the main branch. Petals also turn up through the main story, exploration, Alpha clears and sometimes at random, but branch nurturing is the one source you control directly. Every level you push the main branch toward 150 adds to your petal count along the way.

Where to start
Spend toward 30 first if you are hunting shinies, then 60 for weather and Prismanas. Push the Breezy Plains branch to 120 when you want the hidden caves and secret Alpha Aniimo, and finish at 150 so you never manage stamina in that region again.
