Lumin Amber: What It Unlocks and Where to Farm It
Lumin Amber sits on trees, on clouds and in deep river water, and branch upgrades built with it can eventually give you unlimited stamina. Here is where to look and what to buy.
The short version
- Lumin Amber is not optional: certain abilities and game modes are locked behind it, so skipping it holds your progression back.
- There are around 200 Lumin Ambers spread across the map of Idel, found on trees, on clouds and in water, including deep river water.
- Defeating an Alpha Aniimo for the first time rewards Lumin Amber and a guaranteed petal, and Alphas also drop Amber alongside credits, stamps and XP.

Lumin Amber is a crystal formed from overflowing vein energy, and in Aniimo it is the resource that moves the world forward. You pick it up while exploring, carry it to a branch tree and offer it there. In return the branch wakes up, the land around it recovers, and you get upgrades that make the rest of the game easier.
It is also the resource most worth taking seriously early. Certain abilities and game modes are locked behind Lumin Amber, so a player who ignores it is not saving time. They are walling themselves off from parts of the game.

Why Lumin Amber matters in Aniimo
Lumin Amber directly advances both regional and world progression. It is spent on Pathfinder upgrades, creature progression, equipment, Homeland development, world activities and upgrading regional branches. Few resources in the game touch that many systems at once.
The main sink is the branches. Offered at a branch tree, Amber unlocks key progression systems including account upgrades, passives and milestone rewards. That is why bypassing it hinders progression: the abilities and game modes behind those milestones stay shut until you pay in.
One related system to keep in mind is the Pathfinder's character talent tree, also called the Pathfinder skill tree. Certain Aniimo evolutions must be unlocked there, so if a creature refuses to evolve, check that tree as well as the creature.
Where to farm Lumin Amber
There are around 200 Lumin Ambers distributed across the map of Idel. They are not hidden in one kind of place. You will find them on trees, on clouds and in water, including Amber resting in deep river water. Look up and look down, not just ahead.
Alpha Aniimo are the other reliable source. Defeating an Alpha rewards credits, stamps, XP and Amber, and the first time you beat a given Alpha you get Lumin Amber plus a guaranteed petal. That makes every new Alpha on your route worth a detour.
The map can help with the delivery side. Bloom locations can be displayed using the map filters or the deliver Lumin Embers button, which saves wandering around once your pockets are full.

Offering Amber at the branch
Lumin Amber is submitted or infused at the Branch. You can offer it at regional branches such as the Breezy Plains branch, or at the central hub's Breezy Flames tree.
Offering Amber to a regional branch restores its energy and the surrounding land, deepens your bond with that branch and grants special blessings. Restoring energy to a branch is what grants that branch's blessing, so the first deliveries to a new region pay off quickly. Infusing more advances the branch further and unlocks regional perks and rewards.
Each region's Branch also carries a passive tree. Infusing Amber upgrades it, improving stats, mobility and capture rates; upgrading a regional branch increases local capture rates. How far those passive improvements reach is not settled yet. They are described both as applying only within that region and as applying across your entire account, so do not count on a bonus following you somewhere new until you have checked.
Spend with some care. Offering items without reaching the next tier, or beyond the unique rank, wastes resources. Deliver in amounts that actually cross a threshold.
Stamina, traversal and the Earthquake Revelation
The branch upgrades that most players feel first are the traversal ones. Upgrading regional branches with Lumin Amber increases your maximum stamina and your stamina efficiency, and can eventually grant unlimited stamina. More stamina means more climbing and gliding, which means reaching more of the Amber on clouds and in out of the way places. The loop feeds itself.
Branch progress also opens new ground. The Earthquake Revelation opens the cave path to secret Alpha boss locations such as Alpha Geoclaw. Its cost is not settled: it is given as nine Lumin Amber, as 120 Lumin Amber deposited at the branch, as 12 Lumin Embers, and as 120 energy infused into the Breezy Plains branch. What is consistent is that the Breezy Plains branch is where you work towards it.
Side rewards: Vein Essence and Irisalis Petals
Delivering Lumin Amber to the Branch earns Vein Essence, and infusions into the Breezy Plains branch award Vein Essence at certain milestones. Vein Essence also comes from open world gathering, Elite Training, catch milestones, Nurture Branches, Holo Battle Interlinks, the battle pass and the stamp shop, but branch deliveries are a steady part of the supply.
Irisalis Petals (also called Iris Petals) are tied in too. Levelling up the Branch Nurture tree by infusing Lumin Amber awards three petals for each Branch Nurture level of the main branch, and first clears of Alpha boss battles give petals as well. Where most petals come from is not settled: they are listed against a long run of permanent sources, from story and side quests to exploration and fighting Irisalis at the Faded Rainbow, and alternatively as coming mainly from the stamp shop and event shop. Either way, Branch Nurture is one source you control directly.

Where to start
Pick up every Lumin Amber you pass, especially on clouds and in deep water, and beat each Alpha once for the first clear reward. Take your Amber to the branch in amounts that clear a tier, and prioritise the Breezy Plains branch: it is where the stamina upgrades, Vein Essence milestones and the Earthquake Revelation all point.
