Elemental Skills and Combat Synergy in Aniimo
Fire, Ice and Lightning skills stack debuffs that bigger hits cash in, and Dark teams strip resistance. Here is which Aniimo feed which payoff.
The short version
- Elemental skills in Aniimo stack debuffs on a target, and the strongest payoffs only trigger once enough stacks are on it: Magmarex's Magma Surge and Infergon's Power of Fire both need more than five stacks of fire debuff.
- Geoclaw applies [Ice Debuff] stacks very consistently, which feeds Glynsera's Frost Tail Strike: it can consume 10 stacks to deal 85% extra damage.
- Dazmand is the Lightning stacker: Electricity Shock applies five stacks of lightning debuff and Lightning Storm applies one per hit across 12 hits.
- Dark teams work by lowering Dark Resistance. Fragrancier and Dreaple both do it, three stacks of Drowsiness cause Nightmare which does it too, and Prismana Turbo buffs Dark damage for the whole team.
- Glimmer Shot raises the whole team's damage by 15% on hit, though its duration is not settled: it is given as both 15 and 20 seconds.
Most Aniimo skills do more than deal damage. A lot of them leave something behind on the target: a stack of fire, ice or lightning debuff, a curse, a point of Drowsiness. Other skills and traits are built to read those stacks and pay out when enough of them are there.
That is the core of combat synergy in Aniimo. One Aniimo builds stacks, another spends them, and a support on the side lowers resistance or raises damage for everyone. This guide goes element by element through the skills that do each job, then covers the team buffs that work regardless of what you run.
Fire: build past five stacks, then cash in

Fire synergy has a clear threshold. Magmarex's Magma Surge stuns any target carrying more than five stacks of fire debuff, and the stun lasts 3.5 seconds. Infergon's Power of Fire trait uses the same line: it grants 30% bonus damage against targets with more than five stacks of fire debuff.
So the order matters. Get the stacks on first, then bring in the skill that reads them. Hitting a target with Magma Surge before it is past five stacks wastes the stun, and Infergon's bonus simply is not there on a fresh target.
Fire also overlaps with Dark. Ignitis is a Fire and Dark DPS, and its Prismana form keeps the same typing as its Highland form without gaining an extra element. Inferlupa is dual Fire and Dark as well.

Ice: Geoclaw stacks, Frost Tail Strike spends

Geoclaw is an Ice-element BREAK Aniimo, and its main strength is how consistently it applies [Ice Debuff] stacks. It deals Ice damage, and its ice debuffs can freeze targets.
The matching payoff is Frost Tail Strike, a Physical skill used by the Ice Aniimo Glynsera. It has a power of 60, and it can consume 10 stacks of [Ice Debuff] on its target to deal 85% extra damage. Because it consumes the stacks, you want a reliable stacker feeding it between uses, which is exactly the job Geoclaw does well.

Lightning: Dazmand, Luminelle and Luminella

Dazmand is an electric support whose abilities scale with attack, and it is the most direct way to put lightning debuff on a target. Electricity Shock applies five stacks at once. Its ultimate, Lightning Storm, deals 12 hits across an area and applies one stack of lightning debuff per hit, so it spreads stacks over a whole group rather than one target.
Lightning damage then gets amplified from two directions. Luminelle's ultimate, Self-Destruction, creates an electric field that increases Lightning damage dealt inside it, and Luminelle also carries a passive trait that increases lightning damage exclusively by 12%. Luminella, separately, increases damage dealt by Lightning-element allies. Fulmintis is an Electric-element Aniimo, so it sits naturally in the same team.
Fenmane's Thunder Imprint works on a different idea. While the effect is active it stores the damage dealt to the target, then releases all of that stored damage when the effect ends. Everything the rest of your team lands during that window counts toward the release.

Dark: curses, Nightmare and lowered resistance
Dark synergy leans on resistance reduction. Fragrancier lowers Dark resistance on enemies, and Dreaple can reduce an enemy's resistance to Dark-element damage. Prismana Turbo has an exclusive Dark-type support skill that buffs Dark damage for the team, which stacks up well with either of them.
Drowsiness is the Dark control tool. Three stacks put a target into Nightmare for 20 seconds, which lowers its Dark Resistance. For 3 seconds of that, the target cannot move or cast skills. The catch is that taking damage ends the control effect, so if you want the full lockdown, hold your hits for a moment.
Witchin handles energy. It is a dark-element energy Aniimo whose kit uses curse mechanics to restore EP, and it gains additional EP when Dark basic attacks hit enemies afflicted with [Curse]. Keep the curse up and Witchin keeps the team's EP flowing.
Light and team-wide damage buffs
Glimmer Shot (also called Glamourshot) is the buff that fits almost any team. It is a light-element exclusive skill associated with Glacius and learned by Prismana Glacy (also written Prismana Glacy). It fires a Light Orb at the target, and on hit it increases the whole team's damage dealt by 15%. How long that lasts is not settled yet: it is given as both 15 and 20 seconds, so plan around the shorter window to be safe.
If you are looking at Lunara's skills, know what she is built for. Lunara is the Light-element starter fox and a DPS: a ranged magical attacker that deals sustained damage with wide area-of-effect magic from a safe distance. Helion covers the other end of the Light roster as a melee Holy DPS and breaker. Glincera also fills a damage dealer role.
Where to start
Build teams in pairs: one Aniimo that stacks a debuff and one that spends it. Geoclaw into Frost Tail Strike for Ice, Dazmand into Luminelle's field and Luminella's buff for Lightning, a stacker into Magma Surge or Infergon for Fire. On Dark teams, bring a resistance cutter like Fragrancier or Dreaple. Add Glimmer Shot to any of them for a 15% team damage boost.
