Which egg produces Dreaple is not known yet. Named eggs lock their outcome, so one very likely does. We will not name it until we have watched one hatch.
Measuring under way
Landing the catch
You do not find this one. Dreaple has no habitat on record, so it is not an Aniimo you walk up to and throw a pod at. Forms with no habitat are generally raised rather than found — the chart above is that route — and the steps below are the general procedure, for whatever you do catch.
Everything below is how catching works for any Aniimo — it is not specific to Dreaple.
- Wear it down first. Depleting a wild Aniimo's HP and dealing break damage to its break gauge both increase capture success.
- Come at it from behind. Attacking an Aniimo or throwing a capture pod at it from behind grants a back attack bonus that greatly increases the catch rate.
- Better still, catch it asleep. Sleeping wild Aniimo can be approached and captured while they are asleep.
- Put a trap in its path. Traps can be set in the terrain, such as in a wild Aniimo's path, to increase the likelihood of capturing it.
- Throw the right tier. Aniipods come in multiple tiers, and higher tiers carry higher base capture success rates, so stronger Aniipods are recommended for difficult captures, although some specialised models such as Aniipod Track and Tumbler trade raw catch power for utility effects.
- Out-level it. Being a lower level than the target creature reduces catch odds.
- Expect to miss anyway. Aniimo displays a catch success chance when you aim an Aniipod at a wild Aniimo, and any throw below 100% can still fail after the pod shakes.
If it is an Alpha or a Legendary
- Alpha. Alpha Aniimo bosses, including quest Alphas, cannot be captured mid-fight, but defeating one grants an opportunity to catch it, although catch rates are low.
- Save the Ultras. High-tier Anipods, such as Anipod Ultras, should be saved for capturing Alpha Aniimo rather than spent on standard wild Aniimo.
- Legendary. Catching a Legendary Aniimo requires crafting its Legendary Aniipod from legendary tokens, which unlocks the creature's exclusive one-time story encounter, where the player must defeat it in battle before throwing the crafted Aniipod to capture it.
The full catching guide covers pod tiers, stealth and Alpha hunting at length.

What are Dreaple's skills?
- Trait, Counting Sheep: Every 10s, the next skill applies 1 stack of [Drowsiness] to the target. At 3 stacks, the target enters [Nightmare] for 20s. Targets in [Nightmare] have their Dark Resistance reduced by 27% and cannot move or cast skills for 3s. Taking damage removes the control effect.
- Dreaple applies stacks of the Drowsiness status effect to its target.
- Dreaple can reduce an enemy's resistance to Dark-element damage.
